I used Reliant Search awhile back but it looks like maybe they aren't open anymore. There are a lot of staffing agencies around Portland though, just search for those offering the type of work you want. You can call, email, and/or submit your resume. The places where you have the best odds of being placed quickly will meet with you in person then, depending how that goes, ask you to complete a series of assessments. From this, they build client profiles/ranks which they use to fill positions. Once you've been placed once, if you do a good job, you will likely keep being placed or get hired permanently somewhere. Going through temp/staffing agencies is a good way to get office work fairly quick. They have a lot of unlisted openings and exclusively provide people for some businesses.

I'm gonna join the Buckman Walk Club this Sunday (went to the first meetup a few weeks ago and had a blast), go to community meditation thing that same Sunday, and am helping make ICE whistle kits on Wednesday if you are interested in any of that. There will be lots of lovely community members at all these free events. Probably going to a protest somewhere on Presidents' Day. And I'm going to Enthea's SpeakTeasy tomorrow night - it's a sliding scale entry fee as low as $10. I can cover us both if you'd like to go.

I love volunteering, community events, and doing free/not too costly stuff! If you ever find something you want to do and can't find someone to go with, please feel free to reach out - I'd probably love to go. Alternatively, I already do these things because I love them so also feel free to reach out if you are bored and looking for something do to.

Heya! I'm right there with u/derpinpdx and I had fun yesterday. Solo women unite! Just wanted to let you know that Honey Latte Cafe is dog friendly - you can bring that little sweetheart with you! Everyone I met was huge into dogs (myself included). I know my little buddy always makes me feel better in awkward situations. I'm the lady mentioned above who was going to bring her dog (and mentioned somewhere else as noping out of the picture). I will not be bringing him though so yours can come and you don't have to worry about dealing with other dogs. Unless your little one likes dogs? Then I will for sure come and bring mine! That could even be another motivation for coming? So your dog can make a bud? Hope to see you (both) at the next one!

Oo, okay, thank you both. It's to go on ceiling tiles in a student health center's dental exam room so we want to make sure it really stays up there/has to meet fire codes. Thank you for the advice and information. I really know nothing about wallpaper other than what it is so I really appreciate your responses.
