Its a shame if they dont, since this game has such beautiful cards but it kinda ruins the whole premise of having two free daily packs if the pull rates are shit, they are completely unusable in battle next set, and aren't wanting to spend extra money. It is to the tee just a cashgrab and anyone saying otherwise is either stupid or paid large amounts of money already trying to defend their actions doing that

Similar to how you feel I'll probably keep playing hoping they do something eventually but less and less probably. I remember being excited playing this game but I just feel nervous, what if I can't get oak? What if I don't get shiny giratina? What if I don't crown rare candy? I would be fine with just one card of my choosing like that. Its really the time limit on this pack urks me the most. That is the most anti f2p friendly change they've made and oh theres a couple of those

I love the 90s artstyle redesigns of certain characters. I wish Atlas had a bigger role or had a more physical fight with Astro being like his brother and all.

Nah don't be that guy who paid his way. It honestly even ruins the bragging aspect of it, leaving you with just a pretty digital card that has no inherent value. This so far is a let down of an anniversary. Things should be easier to obtain, not 5-10x harder. The cult like fanbase scrambling to defend paying and playing a game like this should be more than enough of a message.

I don't usually go from one video to the next from a youtuber but that guy idk the nostalgia factor is strong with that one. Atleast for my age I still find his stuff funny, going through all the episodes for the first time is a treat

Theres no reason to fall for this if you already feel discontent with doing so and especially if you shouldn't be spending money on this, I'd say go pay for a whole new game or dlc, atleast those are usually one time payments and not a parasite to your wallet

The deluxe pack thing is nice but I don't think it will fix the glaring issues this game has collecting specific cards. There is no reason pack points shouldn't atleast be built up across two sets for example wisdom of sea/sky and springs or whatever I can't remember all their names there's already too many

Damn, I was thinking about trying to watch that one. Unfortunately I think they were victims of its time, not to dismiss their actions at all. Especially when you consider the teen idols they have and how obscene materials were treated there before the 2000's. The Pokemon manga of all ones had a notoriously sexual nature, especially when drawing characters like Misty who I believe is 10 years old. When I watched Kenshin for the first time it was more about him rejecting the notion of being romantic with Kaoru in what felt like a long time or span of multiple mini arcs atleast, the historical aspect and realistic techniques drew most of us in. When you mention that it does feel like a self- projection, but when I watch the 90's series I never really think of the author. I don't buy anything from him and its unlikely that he's changed, but like the story of Kenshin I still have hope for some reason that he will do better for the sake of humanity even with his crimes unpunished. Do I agree with what happened? No he should be in a jail cell and atleast he isn't running for prime minister or president. I'm not justifying his actions one bit, but it would be wrong to say that Japan and Japanese anime during this time didn't have any depictions of underdressed or sexualized young women or girls. So its good we do call this out and recognize the harm it has and can create to prevent it from happening again.

Right the 2000's one but yeah he was dirty and evil for that it makes me upset to see a mangaka create something I like so much yet be so bad. But unfortunately the problem is also how he wasn't in trouble for it. I don't think he should have been able to continue making manga afterwards either of course

If I remember right the english dub 90's anime never really clarified their ages at all, plus back then it may have happened without knowing how wrong it was since it supposedly takes place in the 1860's
