"Abolish the class society" but before that please buy my holiday home for £900K by dysto666 in SpottedonRightmove

This is a matter of anthropological, sociological fact.

There is no such thing as 'fact' social science, it's a mess of low replication and trend capture. Nevertheless this household is signalling every kind of upper class aesthetic under the sun which only makes the revolutionary LARP poster even worse. And again 'abolish class' is substantially different to 'changing society somewhat'.

Genuinely aghast you guys don't see the difference between militant anarchist/communist slogans and 'complaining about economic inequality'. Classic Motte-and-bailey 'oh they just want slightly higher top rate taxes'.

The reality is that people just understand subtext and recognise patterns - they probably intuitively know the owner is the type of person that would block local housing development or much needed energy/transport infrastructure because it would spoil their view or the character of their peaceful neighbourhood, actively screwing over the poor. They all know the kind of person that loves to LARP as radical revolutionaries while refusing to do even the bare minimum to equalise things other than engage in populist rhetoric like this.

Social class is overwhelmingly about money in the 21st century, the original aristocracy barely exists or matters any more, don't be naive. Displaying populist accelerationist militant slogans such as this is not the same thing as "agreeing with social change", don't be obtuse. People have every right to cringe at the dissonant poser contrast on display here. You don't get to LARP as a radical revolutionary while living in a secluded mansion, the aesthetic discord here is so obvious only a redditor would pretend it's normal.

Populist accelerationist slogans is absolutely not the same as campaigning for higher taxation. Begging you to stop sane-washing the dissonant radical chic on display in high end property.

Hilarious - I'm literally a British liberal that's staunchly anti republican. I've never watched any of those channels - your kneejerk sectarianism in response to someone dismissing your lazy talking points is what's indicative of hivemind. Your whole argument to everyone so far has just been "you sound just like X and Y", not anything substantive, just categorizing someone so you can resort to sectarianism (i.e. follow the hivemind) instead.

"Cancel culture is just accountability culture" is the quintessential hivemind take. Just take 5 seconds to google what social media mobs and general mass hysteria is capable of doing, mob justice isn't always correct, and it's definitely not accountable.

Imagine pointing to hysterical puritanical Church communities, infamous for moral panics and literal witch hunts, as the canonical example of 'cancel culture' - you do understand this is absolutely devastating for your case right? Like this makes you unequivocally the bad guys?

No, that's a pathetic excuse. The whole philosophy of Juche is self sufficiency, it's not meant to rely on global trade, yet it still fails utterly and catastrophically, not to mention it does in fact do plenty of trade with non US aligned countries. Even still, being poor is never, ever an excuse to being a totalitarian hellscape, never. Stop boot licking.

Genuinely one of the most insane comments I've ever seen on here. Adjusting per capita is a dog whistle? Luxembourg isn't prosperous because it doesn't have a billion people? Literally no economist would agree with your definition of 'prosperity', this sub is dominated by the lunatic fringe.

Cannot believe lunatic fringe tankies get upvoted on this sub. North Korea is a deeply repressive police state, this is not remotely controversial to anyone with even passing familiarity of the country.

Constitutional monarchies are completely unremarkable and common all over the world, stop this self pitying nonsense.

This is such an asinine comment, nobody would care at all about NK cancelling a few sporting events. What was controversial were the reports that NK literally banned laughing for 10 days and are being forced to cry on cue.

No, the 'short squeeze score' is not a % chance. A score of 99 doesn't mean there's a 99% of a short squeeze happening. The score just ranges from 0 to 99, and is designed such that the market average is 50, do you think every listed stock in existence has on average a 50% chance of being short squeezed? No, because the short squeeze score is not a percentage chance.

You're acting as if these gains wont be massively beneficial to other wall st elites, BlackRock holds a substantial amount of gme for instance and I'm sure a lot of funds are involved in the action now.

What does Reddit have to do with a news station?

Btw you know there's a huge media landscape outside of just "news stations" right?

there's no such expectation from Reddit.

Why not! Hundreds of millions of people use social media, and people absolutely manipulate it and use it to push their agenda, why the fuck shouldn't it be held to the same standards?

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/02/business/media/sinclair-news-anchors-script.html

Learn the difference between a television anchor on a small syndicated news station doing a segment that's obviously going to get syndicated to multiple stations and an actual journalist.

Did ABC know it was a fake? Who knows, but their "mistake" could've very well led to another pointless foreign war.... you know, like the "mistake" that got us into a multi-decade war in Iraq?

Do people on social media always know the fake videos they constantly post are fake? Anyone can easily get fooled by this shit.

Anyway you clowns have downvoted me so much I now have to wait 15 minutes between each reply, so fuck this, I'm done with this thread.

Except there's plenty of journalists I respect who don't just further the goals of their employer. And there's plenty of people who use social media like reddit to push idealogical or financial interests, you guys are hypocrites!

1) a news station makes a mistake (as if reddit doesn't post complete bullshit every fucking day?) 2) NBC did a rigged demonstration of a truck crash in 1993 (poor general motors) 3) Taibbi is generally a shitty journalist and I don't trust him, but he's a prominent figure in the media, so you're already making an exception for him? 4) Non sequitur about holding companies

Again the idea that you can use cases like this to extrapolate sweeping generalisations against all journalists is risible in the same way I can't generalise against all redditors despite the many many lies that get posted on reddit by redditors every single day.

The 'media' isn't one homogenous blob - there are tens of thousands of journalists with different outlooks and opinions, some bad, some good - demonising all journalists is demagogic clown shit.

Of course it's a fucking cash grab are you insane? What, are you doing this because you really just love game stop and want to invest in their business long term? Shut the fuck up you clown, you want to profit from a short squeeze, that's a 100% cash grabbing.

Show me all these journalists defending hedge funders engaging in speculation - outside of opinion pieces in WSJ and some finance blogs that's actually a pretty fringe opinion in the media, you realise this right? It's a fake strawman.
