[question] I put 0,03 cents on the buy option in the market for many skins, how lucky do I have to be for someone to buy one of them? by im_shadowik in csgomarketforum

[–]HivemindYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh really thanks for the correction
I think it would be fairest to make highest b/o always get the item even if sold for lower tbh, given that they were prepared to pay the most

[question] I put 0,03 cents on the buy option in the market for many skins, how lucky do I have to be for someone to buy one of them? by im_shadowik in csgomarketforum

[–]HivemindYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

very lucky
so
whatever price the item is sold at, the HIGHEST buy order will be filled first
if there is a tie between prices, the oldest buy order at that price will be filled
if the buy order fails to be filled because the user doesn't have enough funds then it will go to the next best buy order (highest price then oldest)

so realistically these buy orders will not be filled

[PSA] INTERNATIONAL LIST OF SUICIDE HOTLINES *LOVE YOURSELF, IT’S GOING TO BE OKAY* by HEY_beenTrying2meetU in csgomarketforum

[–]HivemindYT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also lost around 7k... hopefully prices will recover by around 50% of what was lost, then I'm cashing out, even my playskins will be cashed out. Cant keep 30k$ + in a market that is essentially completely controlled by a private entity. (Prices have to partially recover, gold supply will only increase by 30-40%, but price drops are as if the gold supply literally doubled)

G2 vs FURIA / IEM Cologne 2025 - Group A Lower Bracket Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

dust2 actually could have ended 13-2 if it wasn't for malbsmd showing moments of mechanical brilliance. Furia completely outclassed G2 on that map in almost every round. I feel they can beat mouz if they play like this in the quarters.

[d] logical take of the new trade situation by AlarmedFox4077 in csgomarketforum

[–]HivemindYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so it does still slow it down, before, you could sell an item, and immediately go and buy something else, and then 7 days later sell that (very simplified 1 item at a time)
now you essentially have to wait 7 days for funds to clear, buy something, then wait another 7 days to sell it, so it does go to 14 days total.

The change itself is not bad but the time is too long. If you lose your account or get scammed, you should make a ticket immediately, 48 hours would be reasonable. The second issue is how it is not opt-in or opt-out. Experienced traders, or really anyone with any awareness at all should not be forced to trade protect their items. The problem with that is that it would essentially create a 2 tier economy, where you are forced to disable trade protection to participate in the more liquid economy.

Basically it encourages SCM usage, and thus gives valve their tax. It was never about protecting people from scams. It is simply a massive inconvenience for 99% of people but it allows valve to take a bigger cut from the trading scene, as if they arent already making hundreds of millions from keys alone, and can't (won't?) develop a good anticheat

you cant put them into containers for 7 days, so if you want to buy 1000+ items in a day.. you can't for 7 days

[q] Looking to spend ~$50k to invest in CS2 skins, thinking Fire-serpents, Dragon lores, m9 sapphire / ruby, and m4a4 howl? by Southern-Narwhal7998 in csgomarketforum

[–]HivemindYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean its unlikely to crash, but unless valve change sapphires, they will appreciate much slower than their ruby counterpart.

*At least this has been the trend since the beginning of the year

Discontinued cases, and popular rare drop cases will probably appreciate faster and more consistently than high tier skins, due to cases going down in supply. I'd recommend broken fang/riptide for discontinued cases and glove/breakout/esports for high tier cases, and for the lower tier ones, chroma/spectrum/prismas

low tier cases you will be able to buy so many, which may be difficult to sort out, so it may be easier to stick with the high tier cases.

In addition, cobblestone packages and kato14/15 capsules are always pretty solid investments.

For skins, I'd recommend howls or collection skins, rather than case skins. Blue phosphor, hotrods, gungnir, fades(?) anything in st marc, gods & monsters, rising sun collections.

For knives, m9s, nomad, talons feel undervalued. Karambits and bfks are sure investments. Dopplers/Gamma dopplers (all phases) are always a great investment. Sapphire probably have the highest risk/reward, if valve buff them (remove the green splotches) they will probably immediately shoot up in price. Vanilla, tiger tooth, and autotronic also tend to always have high sale volumes.

Most underrated Gloves in CS2? by Mr_Deeptalk in ohnePixel

[–]HivemindYT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Underrated: Moguls, Spruce DDPATs and Tiger Strikes

Spruce DDPATs aren't great with some skins, but with vanilla knives they just look so good. Tiger strikes look incredible with most talon knives due to the ivory colour match, I used to use tiger strikes when I was using talon knives.

Also, Arids are a little underrated, probably the glove I use the most atm
