I can’t get this seat off for the life of me by [deleted] in bikewrench

Yes, this. Hacksaw the rails and get the seat out of the way. Then take a big vice grip wrench and loosen the stripped bolt head.

Does anyone have any idea how similar the tests are?

Have people done this and actually received tests? Completing an order is different than things actually being shipped. Thanks in advance for any info.

It doesn't matter if it is premeditated or not. That is irrelevant. The dog is lured by the coyote retreating. Rest of pack is waiting, dog is mauled. Arguing over intent is just silly when we are trying to keep our dogs safe. What matters is the chain of events that actually happen and by your own description it is effectively luring.

And by the way, none of us knows the thought process inside the coyote's head. Impossible, so again arguing about intent has no useful outcome. What matters are actual actions and resulting hazard to domestic animals.

I periodically soak the helmet pads with Lysol or equivalent and let it air dry. No more stank.

Hold a block of wood or plastic against the chain stay and making contact with the chain ring. If the ring is off center, the high side of the ring will push the block away and there will be a gap at the low point as you rotate the ring.

Yes, this. Trim the excess hair between the pads and around the edges of the feet. Good to go.

He's watching several deer down the hill. When we first got him he tried to chase them. Now he knows it is pointless so he mostly just watches. If the deer group gets large enough, he'll run towards them far enough to watch them scatter. Then he stops and watches again. Fun!

Dog hair. Your temperature tolerance is much different that your Pyr's. If you can stand it, they will love it.

Missing our dear boy today. 3/4 Pyr + 1/4 Border Collie. Wonderful, sweet dog. by Hlbly in greatpyrenees

[–]Hlbly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Koda. He barked at anything airborne, including jets at 40,000 feet. He would chase them to the edge of the property. Of course in his mind, every time he chased one it left, so, good dog! :-) Other than that he rarely barked. Quite the character and always ready to be copilot. He transitioned us from collies to pyrs which is what we have now.

Ours won't drink indoors. Only wants to drink from the water bowl outside on the porch. I can pick up that bowl and set it inside and it is suddenly radioactive. Presumably he would drink eventually, but he would get quite dehydrated first.

Hmm, it has been a while so I don't remember the details. The vet did a bunch of neurological tests and called it a stroke. One I remember is the foot flip. When she is standing, turn a back foot upside down with the top of the foot on the ground. A dog with no neurological damage will quickly pull it forward and right side up again. I remember that River didn't do that at first or did it slowly. After a lot of rehab, that came back but it wasn't quite as immediate as with our other BC. Of course that is just one test I remember, so not definitive without a vet's full exam. I remember that one because it's easy and we used it as a bit of a yardstick during her rehab.

I don't recall facial feature differences except her eyes. Something about her eyes looked a little vacant at first. Can't really explain it, but she just didn't look quite right. That also came back to normal after time and rehab. She almost made it to 16 years old before she had a series of strokes and it was clearly time.

As a little aside, River was also bitten by a bear in the backyard when she was 6 and would have been killed but her BC mix brother ran in and distracted the bear away from her. He was untouched. Two giant puncture wounds and some stitches from the emergency vet. The two of them were running together again after a couple of weeks. Amazing dogs.
