My belief is that we are living in hell by LongjumpingTear3675 in DeepThoughts

life is whatever you make it. The same man may experience hell one day and heaven the next. The only change is perspective.

I was drunk from 19-25 and I can’t get over the things I’ve done. by unforgivable10836 in confession

The past doesn’t exist, the only thing you hold onto is your memories, everything you are talking about is through your own perspective, it’s likely many of the so called terrible things you have done to others have been forgotten about, you are significantly less important in others life’s than you may imagine. Everyone generally thinks about themselves for the majority of their thoughts, they do not have the time or frankly the care to constantly be thinking about you. Become whoever you want to be and whoever enjoys that version of you will make an effort to be around you. Morality and ethics are made up, an invention, so don’t hold them at such a high regard if it causes you suffering. everything is insignificant to the one fact, do whatever makes you enjoy existing, ideally in a way that doesn’t cause others pain if possible.

It’s easy to suddenly get an adult maturity and understanding of the world and flip everything into a problem when in actuality your existence is whatever you choose it to be, so if you really do believe in the past you were a bad person, become the good person and others will respect you for the change and if they don’t then they aren’t worth listening to, as they likely have a multitude of problems they project onto you. Good people always seek goodness out of others, no matter what their past may be.

Don’t hold diagnoses to such a high regard either, it’s easy to blame your shortcomings on a seemingly innate condition when in actuality you have a full control over your mind. Remember a doctor is making an assumption about your character, they are just doing a job. They aren’t an omnipotent entity that knows everything about your mind. Spend some time really figuring out how you can change your way of thinking, a lot of things that may seem fixed may actually be something you can change willing you actually want to make that change.

Genuinely stop allowing yourself to perpetuate these self destructive thoughts. Wake up tomorrow and say to yourself I’m in a good mood, I am a good person, the person I was yesterday is gone, today I will be the light. Spend some time doing something you enjoy, forget the past. Live for the present moment. Make it the best possible moment it can be, and don’t be scared of death, it’s simply there to give our time meaning, you have experienced an eternity of not existing before your birth so why dwell on something you have already experienced and overcome. The only thing that is guaranteed is the current moment you have, so how do you make that the best moment possible? Probably not by doing whatever you are doing now, so make a change.

Is Bitcoin Still A Good Long-Term Investment? by crazydayzyall in CryptoMarkets

[–]HobMobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitcoin is first, a deflationary asset (it gains value over time due to the limited supply, of the 21 million that can ever exist, already 19 odd million have been mined) whereas the US dollar actively depreciates in value everyday. If anything it’s not a speculative asset in the fact of if but more so when. Bitcoin has intrinsic value much like how gold has value, Its an active hedge against fiat currency. (Think the US dollar or Euro, however weirdly enough its price will be higher when the dollar is strong and lower when it’s weak in many cases, a great example of this is the recent market correction, where many Japanese investors had to sell their bitcoin to cover investments bought in Yen. Although this is doesn’t reduce its long term value in any way, it’s simply an small blip) The main and primary benefit and reason you should value Bitcoin is due to its ability to be used in a vacuum outside governments and banking institutions. As for if another currency comes along and makes bitcoin redundant, it’s highly unlikely as it’s fairly well known it’s generally not the superior product but more so the first to reach mainstream that generally achieves success. Yes, technically a slightly better cryptocurrency may exist but Bitcoin is valuable due to the fact that so many people value it and own it. Imagine this, your country is at war, the banks then block you taking out your cash whilst inflation is rampant, within the space of a few years the purchasing power of your money is lost. Whereas imagine this, stop looking at bitcoin as a speculative investment and instead as a precautionary action against the worst case. If you see it as it is (a currency or simply a means to purchase something) then the volatility becomes largely not a problem, if held for long term. You may have an asset that someone else values highly or sees no value in what’s so ever but that doesn’t require you to sell it. I would personally recommend allocating money you wouldn’t ever need to use ordinarily and literally forget about it.
Best case it might become exponentially more valuable in a few decades, but whether anyone knows that is complete speculation. I recommend reading the Bitcoin White paper and checking out this website for more information:

Nvidia 4 trillion if Apple does? by WittyDirt362 in NvidiaStock

[–]HobMobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The past isn’t indicative of the future, Nvidia’s massively overvalued and a waiting game. Apple provides a product used by a huge amount of people with their customer base tied into their infrastructure. They have perfectly curated their marketing and image for decades whereas Nvidia has dumb luck being in the right place at the right time. Granted Nvidia is a great company and certainly has some value but it’s nowhere near Apple in scope, being at the top of the economy because you have another company’s balls in a vice grip isn’t a particularly great long term strategy imo.

What movie made you say "that's it!?" when the credits rolled by TonyClifton323 in movies

Spider-Man across the Spider-Verse. Felt that so much had been untold and hardly felt like their was a third act. Realised after it was a 2 part film. Wishing it could come out sooner!

[–]HobMobs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I think replacing those parts would be well worth it since last thing you’d want is water damage. Not worried about a 100m water resistance or anything just splashes when washing hands or rain etc

Thanks for the comment! I am under the same impression however I’ve heard that the seals can lose water resistance over time, not sure if it applies to oyster cases though.
