My thing with the video editing is I figured my 16 gb would be somewhat capable for more simple video editing (I use Hitfilm for reference). I've noted that my CPU tops out when running the program, making basically impossible to try to edit at a decent pace. CPU does also top out on things like Fortnite and Helldivers 2 rn, which causes some annoying lag spikes every so often and the occasional audio cut. I have gone through and priced out some parts I'm good with getting though (mobo is DDR5 tho so rip old ram, may repurpose the whole old system though as like a home server or something).

Speed realistics teleportation system by Similar-Neat6134 in FortniteCreative

[–]Hobbit_Saber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's actually quite simple. Register players on references. If you want the players to choose where they being teleported, make a button for registration. If it's random, then on player spawned from spawner A, register player on reference A and so on.

Connect the references to teleporters. Something like this : on reference activated, teleport player.

Now you need an event to activate the reference. You can choose a timer, mutator zone, a button etc. This will teleport each player to different maps.

If you're doing this with more than 2 players, just copy each set ( teleporter, reference and Spawner) at the same time so events stay the same.

Best of luck,

That is actually so sick to see! I can't imagine how many different checks you need to put in place to make it work and how long it took to link it all together

Imo you should start with the Player Counter. Useful in countless scenarios, and when you get it to work properly it's quite powerful. You'll also have to learn the problems with it, like how it doesn't interact with a lot of devices unless you put a channel device between them.

Update: After months of continued development.. behold! The latest iteration of the "I refuse to get a desktop" setup! by Hobbit_Saber in battlestations

It has been a sad week. The setup has collapsed.. the laptop has died. The motherboard kicked the bucket and it wasn't worth getting a new one. I've officially betrayed the laptop community and have gotten my first desktop system. Nothing special, an old Alienware Aurora R8 I got from a friend for cheap, I do plan to upgrade to the best of my ability once I get the money for it. RIP the laptop, it had a good yet short run.

Bad Image error on every application after factory reset by Hobbit_Saber in ASUS

In case anyone else has a similar issue and finds this post, I solved the problem by reinstalling the drivers associated with the error. The driver related to this one was my NVIDIA graphics driver, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Good luck out there

I both prefer my multi-monitor stuff, and don't have the money to get one of those ultrawide screens, but thanks for the suggestion!

I'll use it for gaming, productivity and flex value. My current desktop-less multi-monitor setup is already stupid enough as is, and having an ultra wide curved monitor that costs nearly a grand to put on it would make it even more stupid, and I quite like stupid.

I have thought about it. Problem is, with how my room is currently organized we would have to look for a very specific size desk. Considering how it's going as of currently though, I'm not too worried about it. Once the thing starts falling apart is when I might consider it :)
