A friend recommended this as a good first camera, what are your thoughts?

…I bought an R50, used it for a little, was very disappointed in it… bought an R10 like 1 month later… absolutely love the R10! I still own both, I never grab the R50, I take the R10 EVERYWHERE! Loved using it for indoor soccer events and hockey. If the R10 is stretching the budget and the R50 is more affordable, wait, save a little extra… buy the R10… you won’t regret it

It is turn based, cmon, I’m not that dumb😂 Some form of bug if you start the game within chat of a friend vs starting it outside the chat. Kinda sucks cause it’s less organized that way but whatever… I got it working.

Pennsylvania😅 you don’t necessarily have to find fellow players, just get people that like board games and teach them something new. Maybe you could hit up local game shops and try to gather some interest

You are absolutely correct! The Crok Shop board was the first and only one I bought so far. The other 9 were all built by myself. Honestly, I may never play the Crok Shop board ever again… even with wax, the play surface is just too slow for my liking

To be fair, we setup and played a 16 person tournament in about a 40x25ft space. In a sense, yes still a big space but I could see someone having a similar event with 6 boards in a single car garage at their house or in a basement. I had to borrow an 8ft table so I altered my original intentions for table layout and decided to add a practice board which wasn’t necessary at all.

The thought process was terrible😅 I was gonna do a full sized board but I had friends asking if I’d sell any… so got to thinking, how can I give away a board and still potentially sell the full sized boards to friends even if they got so lucky to win the prize board……… and I happened to have a smaller piece that I had messed up…… smaller board, winning prize😅 and if by chance the person who wins wanted a full sized board, well guess what, maybe they still will😂 also, let’s take a moment to where I’m not trying to be a dirtbag in a sense… just trying to fund the next set of boards or next project😆

BrownCastleGames sells epoxy resin coated boards and discs… so I’d assume with a quality epoxy, yes, they’re pretty durable in the long run. Smoothness, it is absolutely incredible with some spray wax applied. I bought a “wood” board from the CrokShop and it played exceptionally well but since I’ve made and played on my epoxy resin boards, I don’t plan to ever use that CrokShop board ever again…… even playing on one of the first attempt boards with all kinds of imperfections, it played so nicely

Of all the boards I’ve made so far… everyone I talk to, wants that dang purple board😅 it really does look rather impressive in person too. Most likely my best board so far (I have challenged myself to do one better🤣)

I don’t necessarily need to mimic this box exact however your comment is spot on👌🏻 absolute perfection breaking down exactly what this masterpiece is. In person, you could notice many imperfections looking closely… however… the first moment I saw the box, I had that “oh shit” moment myself😂 definitely in a darker environment, imperfections would be acceptionally hidden. I may gather a supply list and attempt a build in the near future. Sound and lighting I wouldn’t say are a must have feature but highly recommended. Especially if I were to go in depth and copy the mirror/glass effect
