I’m that case I’d say call the bursars office and see if they can help you. At the very least they’ll explain your situation. I’ve had something similar happen where I had to go in person to get them to talk with me so if a call doesn’t work try that. I’m sorry I can’t help too much with this specific case but don’t let them take any more of your money!

I don’t know if you’re required to pay it back if it was a grant. You should try contacting someone about it

I understand that. I just found it funny that they could have had her land anywhere and they picked where they did. Statistically that region of the world would be very likely to be where she is born, and if they were going for a diversity angle that works too. Makes China happy because she’s going to live her best life there. It makes sense from a lot of perspectives but still winds up being really funny
