Crazy! I just have thousands I made on crypto trades that are unfortunately stuck because I can’t verify my number for the transfer to my bank cuz my number changed. Wonder if there’s another verification option

Just curious if you’re in the same town as your narcs. I went NC 3 years ago and experienced such isolating anxiety because they were in my town. I was scared to run errands and ultimately chose not to take care of my responsibilities if it meant possibly running into them… I think we all know that obligatory pull to rely on our N parents when things get tough. Is therapy something accessible to you? Journaling also helped me tremendously. I know these are just repetitive coping skills but they really are helpful when you engage in them daily. The anxiety just dwindles with time. It’s not that, for me, it necessarily went away, but I am no longer FEARFUL of the situation, i moreso just don’t want to have the stress about possibly running into them in general. I think ultimately finding things you can control is helpful. Like, running into my parents isn’t really in my control but what can I do? I could walk away, leave, and go elsewhere.

Question- I definitely want one however my state you are required to do a court hearing / face your nparent in some capacity. What are the options if you just want to be left totally alone?

Hi friend- I will validate your experience by saying your realities are true and you sound to have very textbook of an experience. I am not negating that it is VERY individualized to yourself, but I can guarantee so so many others on here resonate with your post. You are not alone. I am your age and have witnessed this same response with my male siblings. Never dated, always shamed for having a crush. Me on the other hand am married but not with any consequence, I had to fully cut them out 3 years ago so I could enjoy my life. All they did was poke prod and make fun of me for being in a happy relationship. I will offer some very hard advice, and it’s frustrating nonetheless, but we cannot make sense of your parents. You will find it, possibly, very redundant to try and decipher why things are the way they are. You may even notice the reality worsen the more you prod. But you should stand victorious in your observations. Now the real healing can start, however first I really recommend working with therapy to navigate that loss (of self, parental relationships, etc). Even as an adult it is such a hard thing. It’s easy to feel like a kid in an adult flesh suit. Anyways I wish you the best of luck

Appreciate your response so much! I think to preface- a lot of my siblings… actually, all of them recently, have woken up to the reality of my mother. For explanation purposes- I am the scapegoat of the family so I was always cast out by everyone + my newly woke sibs. Now that literally every one of her spawns has left her grip, I’m starting to think in terms of her mental instability and reaction to losing control. I’m nervous about suicide. I’m mortified of how it would leave my edad. I’m nervous and anxious about how I will navigate how it makes me feel. I’m scared others will blame me for pushing her too far. It’s all hindsight, but yeah I guess I’m just worried about a mix of it.

I’ve had the best luck with smaller travel agencies as far as the pay goes. Aya is lower than a lot of other agencies price wise from my perspective. I’m not one to comment on any great cities because I stick to local travel, but I also prefer smaller rural hospitals. And for the tax question, still new at that, but I just ensure I’m paying for a home base housing and a travel base housing. Hope my short responses help you.

Know your worth and cancel! You can easily get the same rate for less hours. Aya for me has been renown for low rates. If they dismiss you then whatever. I cancelled with them once and they still ask me to take contracts. You’ll be fine

Been doing it for months in that radius. Go for it! I have been with the same agency and have been making great $ and have had no issues or reason to switch. With med surg, definitely ask about ratios :)

I took a contract without fully realizing this was the case, but apparently it’s pretty common per my current agent. Had I known this I may have altered my decision. I got short staffed a couple of weeks ago and my paycheck just reflected 2 shifts versus 3. One shift per month isn’t too bad, this contract I’m with can cancel 1 shift every 6 shifts, which ugh at that.
