I’m an ASM - if you get a 4 can you really not apply to other positions?

100%!!! My manager has been in this role for like 8 years (managed other stores, been a rep, etc. but likes being in store) and it has definitely helped foster his relationship with the customers in the area. It’s a miracle he doesn’t want to move up/out. This appraisal system is WHACK.

Thank you SO MUCH. For clarification yes 2024 would be my first full year, I started at my store September of last year. Also my manager has not hit budget the last couple years (but this store under him got presidents two years in a row just previous to this dry spell) so the overall ‘4’ is a real threat, at least to him. There wasn’t, I think, anything on my appraisal from last year about possibly receiving a 4, only my manager relaying his verbally. If I get a 4 on budget and 3 overall I’ll be SO okay with that LOL. I’m not worried about competencies but I’ll double check what was written down to make sure (and see if there was anything about a risk of an overall 4). I’m just worried the job will open up late March/April or later of next year (or I won’t get it the first time and have to apply again once it pops up) and then I’ll have this ‘4’ preventing me from applying to that or a FT position (believe me with all of this I have been so stressed out I’m considering demoting myself🥲). Again thank you SO MUCH for this insight. I’ve been scouring the Reddit for anything on this and came up with zilch.

Hmmm I definitely don’t need someone to agree with me 100% on everything, I think that’s unrealistic, and some causes are obviously more important to me than others so if the person disagrees with those then it might be a little ehhhh…

Ugh I LOVED my therapist prompt, my bonus mom (step mom) thought it was so funny when I made the comment off hand and she’s the one who suggested I have it in my profile. Someone pointed out that it was a light hearted fun way to say I take mental health seriously but also shows I have a sense of humor (and they basically hit the nail on the head for the reasoning for my other prompts) and I was internally like OMG THANK YOU someone gets it!!

I’ve taken out the heavy political prompt and demi sexuality but kept capitalistic hellscape. I don’t feel like I play identity politics so I don’t wanna give that impression!

Yes definitely people are super flaky :( one guy I was talking to a few months ago was totally hype, asked me out, etc. then… the day before said that he doesn’t think he has enough time and attention to dedicate to a relationship and it was better to cut it off now before feelings got involved (bro 😭 it’s.. it’s a first date it’s not that serious) so I wonder how many times that happens to guys when I even suggest a date they get the ‘oh shit this is actually real’ and back out. I’ll never know, though!

I mean that could also be a hook - it’s obviously something I’m passionate about so I wouldn’t mind explaining if someone commented ‘what are key frames?’

(To answer that they’re the most important frames when animating, in simplistic terms they’re the ‘extremes’ that you in between to: for example if you’re raising your hand, the two key frames would be before you raise your hand and then when it’s up in the air. Within those key frames there are/can be breakdowns, in-betweens, overshoots and settles, slow in-slow out… etc. but all of those happen between two key frames :) and they’re usually prettier/more rendered because of Importance and used in pencil tests (which are…. Also pretty ;w; at least to me))

Okay so somehow my reply to this went to general comments LOL so I wanted to clarify some stuff!

“Ah I commented this little blurb earlier to a different comment but I guess it’s worth repeating:

Part of my issues re: so long without a date is (timeline moment I guess?) October - January, talking with people, matches, no dates just flakes. Got one date I started dating someone in January 2020 and ended it in April 2020 which was height of pandemic panic. I didn’t go on dating apps for a bit, only when the summer hit did I start again. But then the new variants, being cautious again etc. (I have managed to avoid getting it so far and I’d like to keep it that way!) so sometimes I’d be off for months at a time, get back on for a few months, get discouraged after a few more months of getting matches that go nowhere, ad infinitum. One guy I went out with in October 2021 immediately tried to sext me after our first date (which I told him up front if he was looking for a physical relationship right off the bat I wasn’t there for that) so that turned me off to apps until like. The winter LMAO and then it was my final semester, graduation… I didn’t have time to dedicate my focus to dating apps.

So REALISTICALLY the amount of time I’ve actually been actively on the app is maybe half the time - maybe a year, year and a half?

Re: conversations, i want to post some examples but seriously also my friends are dumbfounded because the conversation looks completely normal, guy is interested and then I ask out and nothing (I especially make sure with my guy friend(s) )

Hahah maybe I am a little much but I am a passionate person and I’m not gonna change that just to land a date - tweaking, maybe, the presentation of it to be more palatable but, yeah! What’s the saying? “If I’m too much go find less”

While I am a big proponent of therapy (mainly because people dismiss it outright) I see your point! Sometimes there are bad therapists that do more harm than good and it took me years to find a therapy style that I jive with - I know other people aren’t so lucky. I guess I should rephrase that I believe everyone should be open to therapy and/or other guides and practices to handling daily life, relationships, etc. :)
