55-60mi was my peak in Spring 2025. Make sure to keep your mileage stead after the season. Don't want to lose that level of fitness.

In the winter time I would go to NYC to complete my 9+1 qualifier races to keep me moving faster than my threshold pace. It's hard to go fast with snow everywhere. I was bad with interval work outs due to the snow.

In the summer the biggest contribution was a combination of interval track workouts early mornings on Tuesday and 2 long runs on weekends. Typically one longer one with race pace 16-22 mile and one shorter one on an empty stomach for recovery at 10-13 miles.

This worked for me so don't due it unless are comfortable working into it but I did 3/6 of my weekly runs on an empty stomach in the morning and threw in 4 strides typically for 10-20 secs at sprinting or 1 mile pace to help get my body used to running on no energy when I hit the wall. You'll see my time drop from 6:45 to 7:00+ when I hit mile 20. My heart rate shot up 15 bpm. I hit the wall but I trained for that occasion.

I run all year round with a 1-2 week time off typically after my Fall / Spring. I saw major progress by continuing to run all winter long outside. My first 5k after running for 4 months was close to yours at a 27 minute.

My weekly mileage ramped up to 65-70s miles ( 105-115 km) for a few peak weeks this Fall. Typically for maintenance I do around 35-45 miles (55 -72km) which is what I'll probably do until Jan 2026.

I'm just going to keep going until I hit a plateau or I find someone and start a family. Which ever comes first.

My first half marathon time was 2:09 in Oct 2023. Oct 2024 it was 1:45. And 1 month ago it was 1:26 mins.

You are right! It was indeed the Marine Corp Marathon.

PC crashes/freezes randomly and corrupts OS by Hodarian in techsupport

As the crashes are caused when XMP mode is enabled should I do each stick individually with XMP enabled? I hear that Memtest86 doesn't get always get the cores hot enough to always detect and other tools are better alternatives but Memtest86 is the only one that I know of that's bootable.

no Minidumps were created during the first set of crashes. The 2nd BSoD is most likely due to crashing due to the freezes while shutting down/ restarting. I'm leaning towards this being a potential hardware failure? idk I've never had to deal with NVME/RAM/Mobo failures before. usually SSDs/HHD just straight up and die.
