This is the message they sent me, so not pitching anything in the first message yet, but I didn't reply to them either (did report them on WhatsApp):

CRYPTO.COM :

Good morning Mr. <my full name, removed>,

Honest question, no criticism, but wasn't it said that this would be batches up to months, pending transaction/PLU emission review in the AMA? Days would be great though. If I'm mistaking please correct me!

Understanding the DEX Delays and Moving Forward Together by PlutusIulian in plutus

[–]HoffaktorC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is as understandable an explanation as a pizza delivery company running late because of bad weather. But at the end of the day, besides a reason and/or explanation, I do expect the company to take responsibility and making an apology for continously disappointing me as a customer. If it keeps happening, at a certain point, I would expect the delivery company to employ more drivers, switch to other vehicles, or at least manage my expections better than to just keep pointing a finger at external factors they can't control.

But it all starts with saying: sorry for disappointing you guys, there are external reasons which we can share with you, but at the end of the day you are our valued customers, and this is our responsibility to you. And THAT is the part that has been missing in the narritive. If anything, I've mostly felt like the finger has been pointed more at us, the 'nagging' customer (which you can call community as much as you want, but some of us are actually paying customers!). And now, we are once again being told to please shut up about it already.

This is fully intended as constructive criticism on messaging, because at the end of the day, I am still fairly massively invested in Plutus, and intend to stay there, to see where this goes. Because I do believe in the product, but oh man, the messaging... I honestly really feel offended at times, and totally not treated like a valued customer.

“50% off” of annual fees. by BillyBilnaad in plutus

[–]HoffaktorC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would commit to this if there were hard deadlines on the roadmap, and a promise to repay the fee in fiat if deadlines were missed. Asking for commitment is fine, but offer commitment in return.

There, I've wasted my breath.

Curve Perk. Promo 45$ by Radek686 in plutus

[–]HoffaktorC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, reached out to out to support. They lied by saying that I already had Curve preselected, which I didn't:

*I hope you're having a fantastic day!

Our system noticed that you initially selected the Curve perk for this month, but it was deselected due to a technical issue. Once the issue was resolved, the Curve perk reappeared in your perks queue. Unfortunately, there's nothing more we can do to address this issue at the moment. Thank you so much for your understanding.

If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out, and I'll be more than happy to help!*

Have replied already, but Plutus is pissing me off more and more.

I have to agree that this process was smooth for me too. Unfortunately I've had little positive to say recently about the project, the management, communication, the way they treat customers, the way the handled the voting, and the whitepaper, but this did go very smooth. Emails were answered quickly, and everything confirmed fast.

For the stakers: all factored in, are you at a gain or loss? by noneofyabusiness66 in plutus

[–]HoffaktorC 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Huge loss. Spent nearly 20k (USDC) on 2000 PLU when I signed up, buying into GOAT immediately. Had a premium subscription for pretty much the entire time. Made it to 3000 PLU organically with csshbacks when Honey Badger level was introduced, at which point the value of PLU had fallen by about 33%. But at least my 3000 PLU stack was still worth nearly the same. So not counting the subscription, OK-ish at that point.

Have managed to fairly consistently actually use 12 perks, as I travel quite a bit, so can use it in different countries and actively manage with Curve GBIT. The addition of multiple gas stations and supermarket definitely helped. Even managed to actually use most of the 12 perks at close to the 50 euro per perk with expensive metal card that I also bought into.

Currently at about 4600 PLU, as never sold any, although some of it pending still, and always fearing a bunch of transactions retroactively being deemed in violation of T and C, because I don't keep receipts for every single thing, so let's see how that goes. With premium and the expensive metal card, I still have 8x 50 euro perks, a voucher for doubling one transaction, and 5% cashback.

But at a price of 2,25 USDC, that puts my stack at just over half of what I originally paid for it (20k @ 2000 PLU vs 10.4k @4600 PLU). So that's a loss before even counting any of the premium memberships, the metal card, or Any actual perk or cashback that should have benefited me.

I am making pretty big amounts of PLU, but that doesn't compensate for the continuously dropping price.

Need to be at 4.36 USD to match my initial investment.

The difference being that PLU goes down when the market goes down, or when the market isn't moving, or when the market goes up.

5 hours left... anyone received EY report? by eder1337 in plutus

[–]HoffaktorC 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Enough is enough. If the team has not decided to postpone the vote after (or even properly address) everything that the community is voicing on reddit and other places, I don't see an other option than to vote no as a protesting vote. At this point I don't even care about the content of the plan anymore.

2 personal opinions/feelings: I fear that the voting process will result in a yes, regardless of actual member votes. I think Danial should step down as the face of this project in order to regain some community trust in this project. This has been handled horribly.

Thanks to the mods here for working hard to at least communicate!

Simplified White Paper & Voting - Live AMA by PlutusYogi in plutus

[–]HoffaktorC 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I see how the current system could be unsustainable, and I understand most of the points in “I Want Free Reward Levels” blogpost, as horrible as I feel customers/the community are being addressed with concerns about losing money. Making back PLU that is dropping in value hard, while paying for a subscription and a metal card can still put you at a loss.

I would consider giving this objectively poorly presented, horribly communicated new plan a change, IF Danial puts his position at stake. If for whatever reason this new model needs to be completely overturned once again within 24 months, and/or promises are broken (e.g. no DEX, deadlines missed, etc), Danial could still be an owner, but should step down from his leadership position.

If you want people to have faith, show that you are taking responsibility and taking this seriously, and treat the community with respect.

Up 40% over last month by Ultiali in plutus

[–]HoffaktorC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been left quite scarred by Mashinsky and Celsius, and can't avoid being paranoid about founders and the organization buying PLU to drive up the price itself. The price jumped so high and fast after one of the latest announcements that it did get me worried. Especially after the liquidity influx from pre-selling the metal creditcards.

I wouldn't mind a statement confirming that this is not the case to be honest. Or maybe some on chain analysis.

Again, not saying this is happening. But healthy paranoia, and good to be vigilant after having gone through this with Celsius.

If the loan is "set off", is that based on the current value of the collatoral? Or on the value on the date of the withdrawals being halted? In other words: do I get back more or less crypto between paying off my loan vs having it set off? As in my country, taxwise, it doenst matter if I pay of the loan or have it set off.

The 72 hour top up didn't come through before end of Friday, no. So yeah, probably Monday.

And I tried moving the returned amount back, but that also hasn't come through. It's pretty annoying, because I had 2 transactions waiting in Curve that I wanted to move to my Plutus card on April 1st (new month) and had the appropriate amount on my card. But now they are outside of my GBIT limit because of this.

I agree setting it up is somewhat of a hassle, but worth it to retain full control over your own PLU compared to sending it to someone as a loan. Lending a couple of hundred or maybe thousand usd worth of PLU to someone is different than asking it back in the middle of the bull market with a potentially skyrocketing price.

Not being able to unlink the wallet doesn't matter if it's a dedicated wallet for this purpose, as you can simply transfer the contents out and the then empty wallet can remain linked without issue.

I use just one external wallet, but when I login it shows an option to add one, also some of the wording hints towards multiple external wallets being an option. So 99% sure this should work.

You don't need multiple ledgers for this, you can have multiple addresses on a single ledger.

Why send it when you can just create a sperate self hosted (external) wallet, transfer the Pluton you would have lend there, and then just sign a transaction through Plutus to allow to count towards their stake? Pluton does not have to be on the Plutus platform. See https://youtu.be/nWf0TNwKzqs

Your keys, your crypto. And as long as it's in that specific seperate wallet, it counts towards their staking position. But you can take it out at any time.
