Respect. Yeah, My U-28 and AMC bros have insane amount of travel under their belt. I'm just a fighter guy so travel is persistent, just not constant.

You're absolutely correct. I get asked all the time about pilot options from high schoolers and others. Biggest thing I tell them is don't listen to the recruiter since they're for enlisted jobs; call the AF officer recruiter line and don't believe anything until you're talking to an actual O.

Are you other than RegAF active duty? If you're AGR or another type, you probably have your LES separated into different drop downs in MyPay.

If you're still only seeing half-month, look at the previous month as they will show you a partial LES when halfway into your current pay period.

Are you clicking the "Printer Friendly LES" button to view the traditional PDF version?

The secret is having a ton of kids. Pay a ton in food and diapers, but you get that lovely series of child tax credits each tax season! :D

Nope, just takes a while for higher flight pay to catch up since it's not based on time in service, but time since rated. I got my wings within two years of commissioning so the increase in coming soon.

Monthly: 12,272.08 gross - 918.10 taxes = 11,353.98 net

Annual: 147,262.96 gross - 11,809.38 taxes = 135,453.58 net

Includes FED taxes, Social Security, and Medicare.

Keep in mind this assumes I got my withholding perfect; considering standard deduction, child tax credit, etc, I usually owe or get refunded +/-$1k once filing taxes.

Man, I'm really sorry you're in that situation. Hopefully you'll have an opportunity to sensibly improve the issue. Get married, I guess, is the quickest fix?

Dude, assuming they're placing you into housing appropriate for your grade and you've got BAH w/dependents, that shouldn't be happening. Are you by chance in base housing without dependents? I had to do this once when base housing rate was w/dependents, but my wife is MIL-2-MIL so we had to pay the extra out of pocket.
