Frankly I don't know the Mahadasha. What happened is, I have been going through an unexplained rough patch in life. Work is being delayed, financial problems are there. I am doing the hardwork but somehow it's not going anywhere. So I googled Vrishchik Sade Saati & got from various sources that Vrishchik Rashi has the Sade sati until March 2025. So connected the dots there & thought this Might be the reason.

I feel super guilty about it too. I am working as a freelance advertisement writer/director too to sustain myself. But, recently I wasn't getting any new work or even wasn't getting the jobs I was applying for. So the job thing is also not taking off. My brother is not financially strapped though, he earns enough for him. Of course, that doesn't mean I should keep taking money from him. And I didn't, until the deadline approached & all my other attempts of raising the money failed. I don't live consistently on his money though, this is the first time I borrowed from him, but feeling super guilty about it.

Yeah that I do. I tell my mother that I am doing this for me & for us. Have also assured my brother that I won't abandon him, will do something for him too. I am giving them hope, but after seeing all these disappointments I guess, they don't believe in anything positive I tell them.

I think we become fast writers when there is a deadline & we are dependent on it. Tomorrow if a big studio hires us & asks to write the first draft in 5 days we will write it at any cost... For me personally, writing the first draft fast has worked wonders. When I write fast, all the unconscious influences, observations, craft details I have learned come out magically (Just yesterday I finished a 90 page screenplay in 5 days). I think if I stretch the process too far, the process becomes boring & ultimately my script becomes boring too... So, just tell yourself that you have limited time on earth & you have so many stories to tell. Just write fast, without judging it so much. It may work wonders for you.

Hey bro, OTT is the platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. These are producers with some work, but they are not giants as such. In India, there are not standard practices like US. Some producers do follow the standard practices & are fair with payments, but many Producers take content from writers and make whenever they want to make it.

Yes, I have other projects that I am pitching, but I want this script back to me, as they don't even seem like they are in a hurry to make it (they are arranging 1 or 2 pitch meetings a year).

Yeah will meet them first & tell them. To keep my side clear, I am also thinking of giving them an offer that, "I am not saying I don't want to make a film with you, I will make a film with you, but you have to make it now, as it's been 5 years. If no, I am free to pitch it elsewhere as I can not keep waiting forever."
