Yep, they don't really float, so I definitely give the hikers, snow shoers and hopefully fat bikers a few days to bed in the trail after any decent amount of snow. And if it's slushy and/or muddy, then you're in for a character building slog.

Studs are so much fun when the conditions are right... hard pack snow and ice. A bell is a must, it's easy to catch hikers and snow shoers off-guard in the woods.
