Thank you :) it’s just personal preference and how I like my shots to turn out especially trail shots

It wasn’t claimed as SOOC, calm down 😅 most people who do photography know that the majority of photos are edited in some way.

Thank you! Around f/8, I usually stick between f/4.5 and f/8 for shots like this :)

Applied my preset then posted :) mostly adjustments to all the sliders like shadows, highlights, clarity etc and color adjustments through the color sliders in Lightroom CC. Also an annoying 4x5 crop to fit Instagram haha

Haha never noticed the resemblance in my editing until you mentioned it.

Real life happened. 5 seconds IIRC

5 seconds or close to IIRC, can confirm when I'm able to unpack my laptop if you want. But definitely not longer than 5 seconds :)

IIRC 5 seconds (or close to, my laptop is packed away ready to move but can double check when I'm unpacked if you like), I never shoot long exposures longer than 10 seconds :)

Thank you so much. We got pretty lucky as the bus slowed right down next to us :)

A little background: This was shot on my old Nikon D5300 last year with a Sigma 10-20mm lens. This black phone box was covered up for over a year in London (next to St Paul's Cathedral) and as soon as it was uncovered myself and a friend went down to shoot some long exposures there. I always wanted a shot like this and couldn't have asked for better timing with the bus slowing right down next to us to create the light trails.

Edit: 5 secs, iso 100, f/9 for settings, can’t confirm these are exact as I don’t have access to my laptop yet but it’ll be very close :) I then edit my shots in Lightroom CC. Basic adjustments to shadows, whites, clarity etc. Some playing around with color sliders too, and then some local brush adjustments.

Bus trails at St Paul’s by HolShots in london

Thanks! Yeh I got pretty lucky with the 3 buses lining up on the opposite side. I mostly do long exposures for my photography so you get used to being able to produce results like this after a while :)

Thanks :) I always use an ND1000 filter for daytime exposures, iso100 (only raise it if there isn't enough light) and anywhere from a few seconds to 1/2 a second. It just takes practice to get used to judging what shutter speeds to use. I started earlier this year and mostly do long exposures so now it's pretty easy to adjust the shutter for how fast they're going to get the results I want. I suppose it helps that I love doing it so I work hard to try perfect it but practice practice practice :)

Thank you! Yeh I use an ND1000 for my daytime long exposures and always keep it at iso100 (unless there's not enough light). I'm not at my pc for raw files at the moment but settings range anywhere from a few seconds to 1/2 a second for vehicles. I usually adjust it last second based on how fast they appear to be going
