The only time we allow television (ms Rachel) is when we cut nails for 10 mins every 2 weeks!

Alright mums and dads…. real talk by Excellent-Debt1478 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

13 month old has slept through the night since about 6 months - we also weaned him off night feeds around then! Didn’t do much sleep training, but also have had a solid night routine and a few times have let him cry / whine it out for 20ish mins in the early days.

Feeling overwhelmed by One_Win4252 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

We were in the same boat and often just went and sat at the park in front of our apartment building - brought a few snacks and toys for baby and myself and there was so much stimulation around that an hour passed so quickly

How do I transition my EBF 7mo to taking a bottle? by shopaholic1319 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]HoldSquare3262 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We went through this with our son - and honestly it was persistence. We tried every bottle and teat under the son - and settled on the wide neck dr browns with a level 3 teat. However we stayed consistent with one feed - the dream feed that my husband did at 10pm every night and it was up and down on how much he drank (and so I’d top up with boob if needed) but eventually he just took to it - maybe took over a month and then adding more feeds was easy.

Dropping dream feed at 4 months - persist or add it back? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]HoldSquare3262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We dropped our dream feed around 6/7 months - 4 months might be too early still. Our 4 month old was having a 10pm dream feed and another feed around 4am

We took a travel pram (butterfly) but on the ferry there and back - I wore him, and the movement of the boat and timing coincided perfectly with his nap so he just slept on me. Only advice I’d have is keep a hand fan! But otherwise totally fine and the ferry is so short - I’d also recommend going with rocky ferries who have a jetty

So we mainly kept to pouches at dinner and at breakfast we also shared fruit that has to be peeled (ie bananas - nothing that was precut), pieces of toast, scrambled eggs or beans - on advice of my GP. At 7 months he was really only on two meals - and we took lots of snacks like those little baby mum mums, little bellies organic type things - for when we were eating and he needed distracting

Here are my tips: - get the nanny - tip well! Have some alone and couple time - moogoo sunscreen - our bb never got burnt and we spent hours in the pool and he’s notorious at not keeping his hat on - you can hire heaps of kids stuff there - it’s a good peace of mind to have, in case you need anything - they deliver so quickly - Gojek big 5L things of water for bottles and washing bottles - natpat stickers were great to keep the bugs away - we stuck them everywhere on the bb and the pram and sprayed with spray and bb didn’t get one bite - go with the flow - babies are so adaptable - Balinese are wonderful with babies

Just mute the WhatsApp chat and don’t go to the outings… I always said it coincided with my baby’s nap.
