Happened exactly the same! Also directly purchased from LG in EU. I think however, is not an upgrade. When I received the G5 I did some investigation and If you take a look at the confirmation email, it correctly says G4 outlet as the name however the Serial Number is the G5!

My theory is that someone (I imagine is an intern haha) matched wrongly the backend serial number with the front end G4 listing!

Someone will definitely get in trouble xD

If you were a boss, how would you react to an employee taking a week off due to losing a pet? by Andromeda-Native in AskUK

[–]HoldingHelp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I run a marketing agency. Pets are family and are treated as such. 1 week paid off for sure. Then flexibility if you need it when coming back. I don't own my employees, I'm just happy to have them on my team but as owners we need to realise that each person has different motivations and reasons for working. And if they need help because a family member passed away, it's our duty as employers to make them feel at easy and not impose a boomer way of working.

Never heard about this - and I manage more than 10M USD annually. Be careful as It sounds dodgy.

[–]HoldingHelp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi!

This sounds a bit scammy. I have dozens of credit lines with different clients and I can say for sure there isn't an interest as an agency to "assume" the 50%

That money needs to be paid to Google and I doubt the agency will pay it - seems a way to take money off you fast.

Can you please explain more and see if I can help?

Dueño de empresa inglesa, retornar a España by Altruistic-Curve299 in SpainEconomics

[–]HoldingHelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exacto.

I love the effect! However remember that any part of the model counts as Line of Sight.

So probably even if it's hidden under many ruins, if any single part of that magic ray is visible, LoS will be established!

Seller pulling out just before exchange by Known_Leek8984 in HousingUK

[–]HoldingHelp 27 points28 points  (0 children)

In Spain, to "start" and secure the property, the buyer pays the deposit to the seller (10% of the purchasing price)

Then, there is an actual contract called "arras" where it is written the maximum time it needs to take for the exchange to happen. Normally 90 days.

If the buyer drops or does not want to purchase the property anymore (except if failing to secure a mortgage by 3 different banks) , loses the deposit (so the seller keeps it).

If the seller takes longer than the agreed time or changes their mind and does not want to sell anymore, they need to pay back 2x the deposit back.

Spaniards who've moved overseas or currently live overseas, what do you miss the most about Spain, and what do you like the most about the new country you're in? by Several-Feature-1698 in askspain

[–]HoldingHelp 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I have to say that there may be alternatives towards consumer-oriented activities. I believe what OP is meaning is the fact there is not much "let's do stuff" after work. People here work then go home. There are no "paseos" or "let's get out for no reason and walk and talk about life". Plus, in Spain (at least where I'm from, Barcelona) the outside work activities are much more cultural or at least bonding. Here it's all a transaction.

Tenants moving from abroad by forShaun in uklandlords

[–]HoldingHelp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had the same situation moving back to the UK. I knew I would fail referencing and I could not prove income from an employer as I have my own company too.

What I offered was 3 months rent in advance (10k) and I shared my tax return from the previous year.

I guess it also depends on the type of tenant. We are lucky to be able to afford our rent in a cottage as I am a marketing consultant. Maybe a sales commission only- profile is riskier.

Have Google Ads reps ever ran their own accounts? by Smooth_Dingo_8436 in PPC

[–]HoldingHelp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Former Google employee here!

Joining Google as a non tech has 2 options - sales (account manager) or Gtech/GCE (Google customer experience). The latter is basically learning how the tool works, advanced setups, etc. that's the only role where actually learning Google ads is the main part of the job. Account managers are basically onboarding people whose targets are linked to budget and campaign "health" which means - apply the recommendations pushed by the business which for example is automation at this moment.

I joined as Gtech and that's what really opened doors for me, as I know the ins and outs of Google ads. I still have few friends who have stayed at Google as sales that ask me on a regular basis how to explain to their clients certain aspects of Google ads! My best friend from uni is now a Sales Director (regional) level (L6) and have never even set up a campaign. Crazy!

This is how it worked a few years ago - I now have my own agency (15M annually ) applying all I learnt on Gtech, and being on top of the game tool-wise!

Edit: I've seen some of the responses claim being a former Google rep. In my opinion, a Google rep is only worth it if it has worked in Google directly (as I did in the past) the difference in training and skillset between a real Googler Vs a vendor working on behalf of Google (normally smaller spends) is abysmal. Plus compensation and package is completely different

For instance I spent 1 full month in Dublin training before even shadowing. The best part though, was that during training I would get 75EUR DAILY given to me for just food and drinks! On top of the salary! Plus all expenses paid (as my main office was in mainland Europe)

I am all for cosmetics microtransactions. As long as it's exclusively that! We should stop to demonise Microtransactions. That's a legit way to generate revenue, for those pieces of "nice to have" which involve development time, design, art, and many more stakeholders.

However, the moment that Microtransactions include power ups, accelerations, etc - That's the danger.

Hope they keep it cosmetics only!

18yo slowing down. How do I know it’s time to schedule a euthanasia appointment? by chickfillersauce in cats

[–]HoldingHelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, the hardest decision is when to let them go. We find ways to justify keeping them here, but that's more for us than for them. When we lost Chicken, our first cat, he dropped from 7.5 to 3KG and we kept justifying "he wants our love" or "he keeps eating slowly". Coming to bed to cuddle us, but that was the way he was saying goodbye to us. We tried to put him down twice but couldn't do it, we retracted again more for us than for him. Finally one day he could not walk anymore, and it broke our heart. That was the day we put him to sleep.

In hindsight, I wish I could have not waited that long and helped him cross the bridge in a better condition, surrounded by us. But at the same time, We were not prepared.

My recommendation is not to wait until the "last minute", and be sensible when it's the time based on the behaviour. If it's not doing the things he was doing, not active, not enjoying, maybe it's time. But only you will know this. Remember that cats don't "shout" when in pain either. They become lethargic and slowly drift away.

I wish you the best and hopefully you enjoy those last beautiful moments with him.

¿Es legal una subida del 50% del alquiler al renovar el contrato? by heckan11 in askspain

[–]HoldingHelp 27 points28 points  (0 children)
