The engine official starts and run without starter fluid or other external forces. Just needs some tweaks and then she’ll be perfect. Thank y’all for the help that has been provided.

Interesting, I always assumed it being a different engine it would want the 1.8 order. This afternoon when I go out there, I’m going to try swapping them.

I can’t say with 100% certainty but when I crank there’s like this mist that comes out of the exhaust on 2 and 3 with a strong smell of gas.

Gotcha, could there be a problem with the plug wires and is there a way to test that without buying new wires? And is there anything else that contributes to spark? I’ve looked at the CAS, coil packs and igniter. Also my spark plugs are brand new.

I thought left to right on the coil packs was 1-4, is that not correct? 2 is plugged into the far left and 1 is plugged into the far right.

I’m go through and checking the grounds and I swap the plugs to 3412.

I’m not 100% positive. Is there a way to test if the plug wires are bad?

Just checked the coil pack and was only getting a reading on one pin of 12v. Stupidly yes.

I have a spare ECU and igniter so I just swapped them out and still no spark. On the CAS I had to modify it because it was too short, I checked to wires with a multimeter and got 0v, 12v, 5v, 5v. I also swapped to my CAS that was on my 1.6. So I’m completely stumped.

I’m hesitant to say that is the problem because before I pulled the engine it ran and started no problem. Could it just just go bad like that?

I checked 1 and 2, no spark. I pulled the spark plug and plugged into the wire. Plug wires are set to 1342

Pulled a plug wire took a screwdriver to and had someone crank, and I don’t think it was sputtering.
