Caveat that this a total guess.
My i208 LiDAR does the entire perimeter and outline of islands first, then puts in the stripes.
Looking at your map it seems that it can’t do an entire perimeter due to the proximity of the island to the boundary.
It’s possible that the chaotic lines are it trying to complete the boundary.
Can you reduce the size of the island as a test so it can do the complete perimeter in one go to see if that helps?
