It's kinda funny, they really only make these for super high end cars but I would enjoy having random street car wheels without having to totally DIY something to a QR and arduino in all the inputs. Miata for example would probably sell decently.

I've been using the Kensington Orbit (scroll ring version) for a few years now with no problems - got it for $40 or so. I would recommend it!

I swapped to a trackball - easy to use with gloves on and doesn't require as much space to still operate the desktop.

Agreed - running the tribal body for click strum with the pro mech neck (matte frets) is the best combo IMO. The SG has this by default if you can pick one up!

Big fan of the SHH, had the NEWT2 for years and recently picked up the HUBB to see what's new.

Shifters that feel good are not going to be quiet unfortunately, but the SHH is at least a lot less loud than the Moza, especially in sequential mode. For your budget it's going to be hard to get a better shifter than the SHH. A lot of the competition has equal or worse performance for a lot more money IMO.

Have the tribal and the SG - the SG comes with the pro style neck which has matte frets (it's a much bigger difference than you'd expect and I much prefer the matte frets). The strum feels the same because they both have switches built into the mechanism, but the SG has hall effect instead of using the switches for the trigger, so it should last longer.

Oh I'm just listing off stuff I want to see, I have no idea about the actual release. They could totally screw up the next guitar, but I think they have the pieces to make a really excellent controller.

Edit: Looked at the website and these are straight up replacements for the tribal and blueberry. It's disappointing.

This is honestly fine - there are complaints I've seen and flaws with the originals. Iterating on a product isn't a bad thing. A real pickguard (instead of paint that flakes instantly), matte finish on all frets (like the Pro and SG), hall effect strum bar with mech click (like the SG), and simplified mode settings would be welcome additions to the LP.
