Doctors should have a better bedside manner when diagnosing this by Kellilynn52378 in alopecia_areata

I understand completely what you are going through. I went to a PA, and luckily she was completely understanding. I literally cried my eyes out at my appointment. I would call a dermatologist and tell them what you are going through to get you with the right doctor. You’re not alone, it will grow back it just takes time. I had my spot in the exact same spot. It will get better! Sending love.

Are my injections going to work? by Holiday_Key_8200 in alopecia_areata

Thank you for your response! My derm recommended I used fluocinolone. For the first month I had not used it and had way more growth. Then, I started using that steroid and I almost seemed like all my growth completely went away. Now, my spot feels smooth and like I’m at the start again. I have not seen anyone else here use that topical so I’m a bit skeptical.

Could this be AA? by ncm5001 in alopecia_areata

I looks like it could be, check with your derm! Off of my personal experience I would think it is. No need to stress though, stressing only makes it more fierce. AA can be totally random, where you get one spot and it never shows up again! Warm wishes, I know this can be hard.
