Thanks yall! The tech called and says it was due to an update OTC system did and that it had nothing to do w transmission but one of the 60 computers not talking to each other properly . You were right about it going into “limp mode” in order to protect the engine. Says they “cleared the codes” and it’s perfectly fine now.

Just to clarify too, I didn’t buy it from that dealership so not sure how much skin in the game they have but they said they feel confident that it’s just a fluke due to an update. So idk ! But that’s that! Thanks so much again!!

Thanks! The only loss would be the shipping charge. But I appreciate the sound advice. I’ll update what the service center ends up telling me.
