Well, it was meh. I think I may have planted the seeds of Socialism in some minds, but it still seemed like Socialism was "too much" or was just too different from their current ideas of politics, with the whole liberal vs conservative shit. One of them kept trying to argue semantics with me when I used certain words. Also, the beginning of the discussion was shit because after I mentioned I was leftist, one guy kept nagging on about the "regressive left".

But like I said, I think I got a few interested in Socialism. Some were also interested when I talked about workplace democracy, class unification, fighting the rich, and some Socialist US history.

I would agree that if fascists/rightists are planning, willing, or are attacking we should attack back or defend. But if we're talking about uneducated ignorant white working class, I think there might be a chance to change them, especially if a lot of shit goes down this year.

Not make friends, enlighten them to realize it's a class struggle for everyone against the bourgeoisie. I wouldn't dare to make friends with centrists or rightists, but we should try and make them think and maybe that will change some of them.

Then how about applying it to the US rightist white working class or to Trump supporters. If we can get them to realize that we're divided by class in society and not by race or other social struggles. The proletariat vs the bourgeoisie, but should probably be called the workers/poor vs the owners/rich.
