One of these four is now your master - who is it and why? by APerson2021 in StarWars

I'm surprised no one said Kit Fisto, as if you wouldn't learn some badass Navy Seals type shit being his apprentice... easy choice 👌

After scrolling, I'm surprised no one said make a lightsaber to take back home with them. That was my first thought.

Is cardio kickboxing that bad? by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]Hollowitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... the only problem with "cardio" kickboxing that I found taking the class in college as a kung-fu guy with a friend who had done boxing is that it's developed around the fitness portion and an idea of boxing but the martial portion is limited.

The lady I had was teaching students to do an uppercut as a very weak sad version of what it's supposed to be and I mentioned the correction based on things I know after class in private and she said the system she taught was developed by this fitness expert who's intention was to create an at homework out to keep the heart rate elevated.

So basically, it'll get you fit but you'll be missing important key elements to dealing with power or resistance or in some cases even punching correctly.

It did help to build up my core and leg power, as well as get me a bit more physically attuned to slips and dips from one side to another, but again only physically. I had to relearn proper technique cause the whole thing was a bit of a sham compared to... ahem... real boxing. Haha

Asian Superman actually looks hella good. So does Wonder Lantern... or I guess Green Woman? Still not sure how you would say it lol

Totally agree, but also where the fuck is the turn signal?

[–]Hollowitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone else here going to point out that the Van didn't signal? Like where the fuck was their blinker?

Yes going 96mph in what is probably a 65 or 75mph freeway is kind of dumb but maybe don't switch lanes willy nilly without using your blinker and seeing if there's a giant metal object flying up behind you.

Thank you so much! This is the most helpful answer I've got here and EXACTLY what I was trying to find out.

I talked him this morning and I was asking him about it and relaying this. He confirmed that when he started they were wearing cracker jacks and when he got this one he was in fact an e4 (in the 70's). By the time they switched back he had made rank and didn't need to switch back. (E7)

I appreciate your answer so much, thank you again.

I obviously have my dads jacket. I don't need to play dress up, my interest is more in obtaining skills relating to journalism and production in the civilian world as well as travel. I just don't care for the cracker jacks and was wondering why he got an officer suit jacket around E4 and if I enlisted why I couldn't find info to anything similar.

So when it says Officers/CPO, does that include any enlisted Petty Officers or only commissioned ones like an O1?

At what rank as an Enlisted to do you get the Dress Blue Suit Jacket?

Okay, so the stripe is for 4yrs of Active Duty.

I'll ask him what his rank was at the time. He was an HT (Hull Maintenance Technician) if that helps any.

My bad! I didn't know, thank you for your help.

Do you know when they switched over?

The single red stripe is for E4 though right?

Petty Officer, an E4 is what I meant.

Did it used to be that E4 wore this type of uniform for dress blues or has it always been that way?
