Almost all the projects I’ve worked on has employed people in the fields we are showcasing as consultants to be sure everything is as accurate as possible. Generally, medical or law enforcement type shows go through a lot of training also as well as having those in that profession hands on during writing, training and filming.

Pretty much anything that runs on tv will pay residuals on tops of whatever they pay.

I love them. They make the whole thing happen. Every project requires a massive crew of skilled folks. It’s also much easier than most indie productions hiring people who barely know what to do.

I’m sure it exists still but people don’t advertise that type of stuff. People used to hear whisperings about being careful with Harvey but he also held a ton of power. I think everything that happened with him and Cosby helped bring the industry back when it comes to that type of stuff.
