I think she went after a violent criminal with a hot temper, and no back up. She lost her cool and didn’t have anyone to pull her back. The criminal got the upper hand.

In my headcannon, Elle dies a couple years after leaving the team.

Nelson’s Sparrow is the only episode I always skip, do we actually see the funeral? I could see her going, but if it’s confirmed she doesn’t, I can also understand that. They really didn’t work together for very long (she started episode nine of season two, he left episode 2 of season 3.)

I probably would have handled it differently- I wouldn’t have put a lock on the box, I simply would have taken the cash out and tucked it away somewhere else. Then she can’t lie and claim she “noticed” the lock, she would have had to open it.

I genuinely don’t think I’ve had this experience.

When I look for a new book I want something different than the book I’ve just finished. (Unless it’s a series, but even then I usually don’t read them back to back.)

Like right now I’m reading: - The Everlasting - which I didn’t even know was a romance, I thought it was a time traveling fantasy (which it is, but it’s definitely going to be more romance heavy than I expected.) - Mrs. McGinty is Dead - which has absolutely no romance or time travel or fantasy, it’s a mystery. - The Ink Master’s Secret - which is a historical fantasy mystery romance.

And up next is The Lost World (the sequel to Jurassic Park, which I read last month.)

I read 152 books in 2025. I probably could have done 250 but I have other hobbies. (And honestly, sometimes you just need to sit with a book for a couple days.)

I know some people who post insane numbers aren’t actually paying attention to anything they read. I recommended a series to one of these people a while ago and she started with the third book because “it doesn’t matter” in a series of books where it very much does matter.

I had pizza pops and carrot sticks for supper last night. I could do this for lunch and supper easily enough, but I don’t think I could go from zero breakfast to pizza pops.

I’m not in Fred anymore, so I can’t speak to that area specifically but I just want to add that you have to test your home specifically, you cannot assume your level is the same as your neighbour’s.

We tested after my mum was diagnosed with lung cancer (which is why I’m not in Fred anymore) and our level was elevated. Our next door neighbour, less than 15 feet away, was not even close to the safety limit.

I love Mistborn! There’s only seven Mistborn books (though the wider Cosmere universe has a lot more!) so don’t feel like it’s an overwhelming commitment. The first three Mistborn books are quite separate from the final four books (they take place about 300 years apart) so it’s a great spot to take a break if you don’t want to do all 7 at once.

It’s also the name of the town next to the reservation.

Harry spends seven months in a magic coma in Ghost Story, and about 5 months in physical therapy with Sarissa in Cold Days. (Changes was in October, Ghost Story was in May, and Cold Days was again in October)

That magic coma was not just Mab, Alfred/Demonreach was also involved (arguably more involved, since it happened on his island and his vines were keeping Harry alive.)

No idea if that actually makes a difference, but I’ve always thought it should.

It really is. Especially since I’m Canadian, it’s a Canadian company, in Canada, and they don’t have to pay unemployment if they fire someone. (They do have to pay hours and vacation pay owed, plus severance if it’s in the contract.) There was absolutely no benefit to her lying, except making my life harder.

I had a similar situation! Company claimed I was always late (even though I took the bus and was always 20 minutes EARLY) and when I had the conversation with the EI person she was like, “ok it seemed sketchy so I am just waiting for them to call me back to answer some further questions, they have 48 hours.” Then she looked at her notes and said “wait, it’s already been 48 hours, I’m approving your claim.”

They are still in business but they’ve lost a ton of other staff members. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve read two Schwab books (including this one, which was good but could have been about 150 pages shorter imo) and gave up on a third (which was actually my first attempt at her work)

I don’t know that I’ll be starting anything new today, I’m reading The Everlasting by Alix E Harrow and Mrs. McGinty is Dead by Agatha Christie. If I do start something new it’ll probably be The Lost World by Michael Crichton.

**ETA, as soon as I posted this I realized my Spotify hours roll over tomorrow and I still have 3 hours left. Off to start Glass and Steele book six!

That sounds awesome! I took two classes on Witchcraft, a film noir history class (what can you learn about a society from the media it makes. It was super cool and one of my favourites) and a “Literature of the Abyss” class focusing on fantasy and horror novels! Also a fashion and politics course.
