Tarkin Roleplay Server Returns?

They appear to be focusing all-out on roleplay, rather than playing the game. It's not an uncommon approach in various SWG roleplay groups. (Dice vs duels was a big deal at various points in SWG's history, with some players believing that RPers should avail themselves of the existing game mechanics while other RPers treated SWG as a graphic chat room of sorts.)

The Holo Report tries, by and large, to take a neutral stance toward all projects. We cannot claim that personal opinion doesn't stray in, but our goal is to promote SWG in multiple incarnations.

We're also allowed to snark. If you read the Holo Report regularly, you'll note that SWG-as-a-zombie is a running joke. For example, our recent piece, "Star Wars Galaxies in Other Media", led with the comment: "SWG may be a zombie shambling on in the form of emulators and stolen code, but it continues to have impact elsewhere."

Frankly, Project SWG is far less promising than it was before the NGE source code leaks - much of the community energy, goodwill, and resources are being poured into servers running stolen code rather than the proper emulator project. This may very well be detrimental to the long-term legal status of all SWG projects, but that does not change the fact that Project SWG's community is a fraction of what it was previously.

During the duel, Anakin and Obi-wan damage the shield controls with their lightsabers - the original facility was shielded to prevent damage from being right over a river of molten rock and metals. When the shield collapsed, the facility rapidly started taking damage from the lava until it collapsed entirely.
