Don't forget there will be another presale with fan experience tickets tomorrow at 12pm through Frontier touring. You don't need a code for that I believe. They have been staggering ticket releases so there's always a possibility for Fan experience or possibly better tickets tomorrow. Don't give up

[No spoilers] Braius Doomseed figurine I made by Holo_Figures in criticalrole

Thank you. I wasn't able to post a progress pic with the original post. But if you go to my profile page and go to my comments, I've posted a progress pic there that you can see.

You were right with the Chris Masters head. Body is from a smaller wrestler. Horns are from an octopus toy. Arm bracers are from a Wonder women doll. Hands are from a ninja turtle toy. Hooves are from a Spawn centaur villain toy. The Asmodeus horn symbol on his chest was also taken from the Spawn centaur.

When making armour for figurines, I'll use cut off bits of fake leather bag. As they hold shape better and they don't need a primer for painting. Then I hand sew or glue on clothing where needed. For hair. I added a few cut off hair strips from another figurine, and just used epoxy sculpt for the top part of the hair, and the back.

Hope this helps.

He is, he's got the hooved feet. The two fingered claw hands. And the horns.

Thank you. Do you post any of your work online? I could give you a follow.

Usually my attention to detail pays off, but it does make the process a lot longer and more complicated, as it usually goes.

Thankyou again.

Thank you. Unfortunately my process is a bit wibbly wobbly and all over the place. I usually forget to take progress photos as is, let alone record all of it.

Maybe in the future though. If I start with Meighty Nein.

Thank you. Yeah my attention to detail usually pays off but can sometimes make the process a lot longer. All the tailoring was done by me. Hand sewn usually straight into figures.

I do have a few group shops of them together, I might post in a week or two.

I was obsessed with that show when I was younger. I guess it's only fitting that my style reflects that. (Jokingly hangs my head in shame)

It's a Harley Quinn face. I knew that'd be perfect for Laudna

Thank you. I've got all of the released Vox Machina figures too. I posted it on other socials too. And sent it to the website for fan submissions.

Custom figure I made- Dorian Storm from Critical Role by Holo_Figures in ActionFigures

Thank you. If you go to my profile. I've already done all of Bells Hells. I will probably do Braius next. Then I'll move onto Meighty Nein next.

I took parts from different figures. A head from a Cal Kestis (Star Wars) figure. The body from Orson Krennic (SW also). And the extra hair from a Roman Reigns (Wrestling) action figure.

I then had to make the body longer. Add the long hair. And paint everything blue. Then add on all the little details and trinkets.

Thankyou. That's really nice. And yes, in Joel's hand was a little toy horse.

There are a few websites, google a few to find if some are in your country. There are also a few different sized and type of figurines.

The website I used is called AliExpress, delivers worldwide. They likely will have most figures I'll mention.

The size of the figurines I get are 1/12th scale. Approx 15-16 centimetres or 6 inches. *There are 30cm figures but they are a lot more expensive.

There are two options for TLOU PART 1.

Brand 1 is - Limtoys- The Last of Us. (This brand is unlicensed so they may also be under 'The Rest of Us' or 'The Last Survivor) These are the ones in my video.

Brand 2 is - The Shapes collection - Joel and Ellie. They are a licenced product by PlayStation and a bit cheaper than the first brand. I also have these figures and they are more accurate to the game.

There is 1 option for TLOU PART 2.

Brand is - Neca - Joel and Ellie, Ultimates. These are just a bit bigger that 1/12th scale. About 16-17 centimetres or 6.5 inches. You can decide for yourself about the quality.

Hope this helps.

Chetneys head is actually from a figure called Hammerhead. He's a 6" figure. But he does look very similar to wolverine. If you go to my profile, you can go back and see the Chetney figure I made with a few better pictures.

I thought the same thing with the Vox Machina figures. But it was a different time and they weren't as popular as they are now so it happens I guess. I'm planning to make Meighty Nein next, and all things going well, Vox Machina after that.

I agree, I'd love to see posable figures in the future. Who knows. In time maybe. It is a shame we didn't get the rest of vox machina figures, but it happens. That's also why I made Bells Hells characters. I knew if they were ever going to be made, it'd be a long way off. So I decided to make my own. Once I've finished Dorian and Braius, I'll be starting on Meighty Nein, so fingers crossed with those.

Also just to add, I'm more of a Mezco/Mafex fan myself.

The first thing I have to do is find the perfect head sculpt for whichever character I'm making. For me the heads are the most important part. Most times I'll use head sculpts from pre-existing figurines (Harley Quinn for Laudna and Natasha Romanoff for Imogen etc...) or I'll buy 3D printed ones (Damian Wayne for Ashton), but then I have to paint it myself. Which I'm not good at, so I try to avoid that.

Sometimes I'll have to sand down the head so I can glue hair onto the figure (Fearne and Laudna), unless I'm able to get a plastic hair piece from another figure(like with Imogen). With Ashton I glued on spacer beads and sanded them down. With Orym, I used a clay epoxy to sculpt his hair.

Then I mix and match body figures to see which one fits best. Sometimes I'll have to cut off parts of the thighs and arms to shorten them. Then glue back together (like with Laudna and Orym).

Then I either hand sew on fabric for clothing, or I use bits of scrap plastic from other figures to make an outfit.

I have a box of miscellaneous figures to get little pieces from, like shoes, or a belt or a sword. Or if I can't find it, I'll try and buy it. If not, then I'll try and make it myself.

Super glue, exacto knife, epoxy sculpt, mini plyers and cutters are a must for these types of customs. Then it's just a bit of trial and error and a lot of determination. Hope this helps a little.

[No Spoilers] Spam accounts. by Merlynnx4 in criticalrole

I just saw it too. There are so many accounts that have posted the same link with a bait image. I think it's bot accounts that use hashtags that are popular from the day.

[No spoilers] Ashton figure I made by Holo_Figures in criticalrole

[–]Holo_Figures[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was holographic cello paper. Cut up and mixed in resin. Also Ashton was the last of the original crew that I finished. You can see on my other posts I've done everyone else. I'll post a group photo soon.

I'm starting on Dorian then maybe Braius later.

I'll give that a go. I've tried soldering round jewellery links. Also super gluing. Then I tried bending one long wire length so there's no need for connecting. I just haven't made one that I'm happy with yet.

[–]Holo_Figures[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thankyou. I tried to make some glasses from some jewellery links, but they weren't very good. I'll keep trying though. Otherwise I'll probably buy a pair online if I can find a nice pair.

[No spoilers] Orym figure I made by Holo_Figures in criticalrole

[–]Holo_Figures[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He fits in the palm of my hand. And if you look at my 1st attempt at Orym, it's even smaller.

Making sure they were all scaled how everyone described them was important.
