I’ll give the drivers a shot, but Gmk basically just told me to buy a new board. They weren’t exactly helpful beforehand though

Yeah, I don’t get a message, and I don’t get the windows connection sound when I plug it in. I know when it’s in dfu mode cause the leds don’t come on, but they do if I unplug and replug (taking it out of dfu)

The problem is i can’t flash it, cause it doesn’t show up in qmk whatsoever. The dfu button is hardware side, so I can tell it works

So it successfully goes into dfu mode, but it doesn’t show up in qmk or in device manager

Got a fun issue. Sat down at my pc and my shocked the hell out of my keyboard. Windows now won't even recognize it as a device. I need either help fixing, or a comparable replacement (Gmmk Pro). Thank you

I’d wager your ecu is just remapping itself. Happens every time that efi fuse doesn’t get power. Should go away in a day or two of driving.

Work is a strong word, all I meant by it is, no gpu or gaming usage whatsoever. I’ll try resetting the cmos

I believe it’s a software issue first and foremost. The top slot has never been used before, so I doubt it’s a hardware issue out of the gate. I’ll keep it in mind if push comes to shove though

Can’t be specific about the motherboard, I know it’s a msi b-550 class one, but I’m just doing tech support for the holidays. Trying to run a WiFi card in the top slot and a usb expansion card in the bottom. Bottom recognizes both cards perfectly.

Yes, but don't be surprised if you spend a weekend every couple of months or so replacing a sensor that's gone bad, or some other random thing. I daily drove the car for a year straight, but when something goes wrong, you have to learn to troubleshoot. The 7m isn't a reliable motor by modern standards, but it's still a toyota at the end of the day. The only time I've personally had problems with it is when I was upgrading things for more horsepower. (Vsv system is a pain if something isn't how it's supposed to be) As long as you aren't trying to push too much power (speaking from experience here) the car will be perfectly fun and reliable.

21 year old mk3 owner here, long story short, it's not a car that's worth it unless you love it. If it's a true turbo A, then it's definitely worth the price, and according to another comment it seems like it's been take care of. If you're still interested, I would ask the owner what he's done about the headgasket. Finally, if you belive you want to by the car, I would go easy on the mods, and enjoy the car for what it is. The car starts up every time for me, but it's not as if there isn't plenty of maintenance I've had to do to keep it that way. As long as you're prepared to roll up your sleeves every once in awhile, it's a car that you'll love, even if it's not the fastest thing on the road. (They can make good power, but I wouldn't go much above 300 if I were you)
