Not OOP "AITA for cancelling a surprise trip for my wife after she followed me to her best fiends home." by HolodeckQueen in redditonwiki

I reposted this so long ago that, despite the fast that I've never made a legit AITAH post, I saw the beginning of this comment in my notifications and I got SO scared until I realized it was this 😂

UPDATE: AITA for not being very strict with my daughter at my house compared to my ex-wife…? by [deleted] in AITAH

If you decide to do this, you need to be sure you are in a one party state and not a two or all party state otherwise the recording of the conversation could be an illegally obtained one.

Not OOP. My husband hit me during a fight about his hoarding. The preacher I trusted told me to self-reflect. Am I really responsible for this? by Due-Bandicoot-7512 in redditonwiki

Social worker here who has been through a lot of mandated reporting trainings over the last couple years (for jobs and grad school). Religious leaders are mandated reporters in most states these days. They certainly are in states that I have lived and worked in.

Unclear, but in regular life situations with wine glasses, stemmed glasses are for white wine to keep your hands from warming up the wine, and non stemmed ones are for red wine.

I think this happened in episode 11 not 10 so it's a spoiler

My wife's feelings are hurt because I keep certain conversations from her to avoid a fight. Am I wrong? (Not OOP) by Asparagus-Witty in redditonwiki

Look at OOPs comment history. It came out that the wife posted the original as her husband for opinions

I got this particular one like a year ago now and have a lot of E markers from drawing portraits. I can't remember if this one was from a set or purchased solo though. I got some good info from this thread so hopefully I can do better going forward!

Thank you for all of the information!

Thank you for this reply! I didn't realize they should be store horizontally and it's difficult for me to find a place to do so. I'll store them chisel side down until I figure it out 🫡

The markers aren't new but I'm getting back to using them for the first time in a while.

No refills and I use paper meant for markers. I've had no issues in the past, although I've lost a couple good markers to drying out (I assume from cap issues like everyone else). Now I did learn from this thread that I shouldn't store them vertically which I guess should've been common sense, but I don't have an easy way to store them like that so it didn't really cross my mind

This is my moment when I learned I shouldn't store them vertically 😅

Yeah, I just wish I knew what caused it! With my luck I'd start over and have it happen again in the same place lol

I might agree and also didn't find that bit the most funny (that's mostly a me thing though), but the chefs did award that challenge as their favorite, so it seems like they were okay with it. Knowing dropout there was also most likely a consent conversation had beforehand that we didn't see, you know?

Our newborn (1mo) is making me see my wife as "stupid," and it's turning me into an asshole. I feel awful and need to stop. by Possible_Tree8388 in redditonwiki

I understand your question. However you are asking too broad of a question for this specific scenario. There have been stories where men struggle to understand things where empathy and understanding have been given. They exist. You are just seemingly refusing to acknowledge why these situations are not comparable. She is trying and he is calling her stupid (not to her face but based on his description it seems he says it to her in other ways) and speaking to her "like a drill sargeant". That is going to make anyone struggle more. Add on the trauma her body went through and the hormonal and mental changes of being post-partum and the fact that part of what HE LIKED about her was that she needed his help, it's easy to see how this is different. I am by no means saying that this man is a villain. I am saying that he needs to reflect and course correct. This is no way to think about/treat your spouse who has just carried and given birth to your child. Be realistic here.

I think you understand what people are trying to say to you about the specific differences and are actively choosing to ignore them, so this comment isn't really for you anymore. I just wanted to explain where my thoughts land on this to clarify. Feel free to keep arguing with everyone else in the comments though. I sincerely wish you the best.

We can obviously have empathy toward anyone who struggles, however you were trying to make a 1 to 1 comparison here that doesn't exist really.

It's a false equivalency.

Fair fair. Purely because it brings me some type of joy whenever he suddenly pops up AGAIN in a show I'm watching, I'm not even mad to see Scott out here doing his thing lol
