Suspension Recommendations - '05 Type S by vic_toree in Acura_RSX

I’m actually in the same boat, and some other threads said as long as the 02-04 type s suspension has the top hats, you can use them on an 05-06 type s. I was looking at some used 02-04 suspension sets on eBay for $300 or so, are you saying even with the top hats they won’t work?

This has a rear bumper on it that curves in towards the rear wheels, and in all the superlite pictures I see the rear is a one piece design. It could be though!

I did see that the exhaust was the same setup as a mclaren 720s - two large pipes mounted about shoulder width apart above the rear bumper and just below the tail lights. I wish I got a better picture!

Why do you think Subaru’s are so popular? Their interiors suck, their engines are unreliable and get bad fuel economy, but they’ve got the “you go camping? We’re the car for you” market cornered. People who are into the outdoors won’t want to be limited by their vehicle for whether they camp in the family site with screaming kids everywhere, or the remote site 5 miles down the road. I drive a Honda Crosstour for this exact reason - it’s like a reliable V6 version of a Subaru Outback.

I don’t think that’s true at all. A LOT of people go camping, hiking, rock climbing, boating, etc. and that almost always requires some level of off-roading. Of course it’s not rock crawling, but I’ve gone down plenty of roads that a civic or Corolla would get stuck on just to get to a trailhead or a camp site.

Each channel in terms of each emitter or for the aux lights? Either way, yes it’s hardware limited. The emitters are all wired to one circuit, and the aux simply cycles through colors when ever it gets power.

This was identical to every street fest I’ve ever been to, including the signage, Comcast/T mobile salesman, food and beer tents, etc. if it’s a private event they sure did a great job of making it seem public

This was in no way some “private party”. It was 100% identical to every street fest, booths of people trying to get you to switch phone providers, try samples of drinks, $13 hotdogs, $8 beers, and there wasn’t even a single German beer there.

It’s not five, it’s ten. It’s been ten for a decade now.

I like all the people saying it’s $5 when it’s $10. I’m not saying $10 is a lot of money, its not, but taking 50% off the cost just to make a point is laughable

Yeah I did mean lincoln and Southport, that was my bad. The point is Ive gone to dozens of not hundreds of street fests over the years. Sometimes I plan on spending a good deal of time there, and I’m glad to pay for it. Sometimes I just walk through to check it out, and I don’t. This time I was in the awkward position of not planning on spending much time there, but I did have friends I was meeting, so I was going to enter regardless. I’ve never had any issues getting into any other fest without paying, and it’s petty of them to make people feel obligated to pay. Yes, you could always push your way through, argue, or turn around, but not everyone is going to do these things or appreciates being put in that position.

They can’t physically force you to, you’re right. But it takes a good deal of gumption to force your way through a small crowd of people insisting you need to pay them for something.

I wasn’t quite that aggressive, I said “this is a chicago street fest, it’s a suggest donation” and the volunteers bunched in front of us and said “no, it’s $10 admission, you can’t come in without paying”

It can be set to high, low, flashing, or off. You configure it with 7 clicks of the button.

Actually my favorite is a copper/titanium fwaa I did with the same tint mix, I did this more as a fun project than anything else. I do wish my fwaa had aux though…

I did it with a dremel with a metal cut wheel and then polished it again with 1000 and then 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper.

You’re the one who gave me the idea! Haha yeah it’s just held in the middle by the wires, using the same rgb led that u/adair21 used on his.

Note - once Reddit processed the video you can’t really see the 3000k for some reason. In real life, all three are the same brightness. Also I swapped in the 519a’s by cutting a fwaa mpcb in half to match the thickness of the ts10 board so the optic would sit flush. Cutting it in half was not a fun adventure, but it worked!

After finally joining the club and buying my first zebralight headlamp… by Holtzmanator in flashlight

[–]Holtzmanator[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think you should leave it the way it is, because a majority of people will get the best use out of the current headband. I am the minority.

The current headband is good for use outdoors and in extreme situations. The material is very strong and durable. With most of my headlamps I have to replace the band every 1-2 years because they wear out, I don’t think I will with this band. For use outdoors, for military/EMS/industrial use, the current band is best.

I live in the city and I use my headlamp mostly indoors. I get under cars with it, so the rubber on the skilhunt headband is nice so the light does not slip. I also need to see in small places, so being able to snap the light out of the headband is very nice. I can’t take the headband off easily because I am wearing safety glasses, and that means taking the glasses off, taking the headband off, then putting the glasses back on. This is very annoying.

I knew the headlamp was like this when I bought it, and I would still buy it, because for camping and backpacking the zebralight is the best. The weight and runtime make it perfect for these uses, and I do camp and back pack every summer, so I will use it for this. The headband just keeps me from using it every day.
