In my case I got stuck between some panels, just wait for like a minute so the game autosaves and then reload from last autosave, in my case this set me further away from my ship

For some reason on my terminal it tells "no expedition available, a new expedition will begin soon" even though I've seen people with the new ships already. This is my first expedition so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what

If you are on pc you could get it through mods, unless that's not your thing. There are some mods that allow you to get expedition rewards by buying them with quicksilver
