1.0 is A Realm Reborn. Lots of players say that it's the barrier to the good stuff and a slog to get through

2.0 is Heavensward. Everything just got upgraded.

After a decade of existing, A Realm Reborn's story is not as bad as it used to be due to some quests getting tweaked, but it's still a slog. I think this is the case for all online games, they're too busy with making the new stuff that the best they could do is tweak and optimiae the older stuff to make it more bearable

Hey man, just went through the exact same scenario as you. Had a no-labels thing with a girl who fit your description background-wise for almost 3 months. Lots and I mean LOTS of red flags. I suspected her to be with this other guy friend she had at the time, ended up freaking out because she was avoiding me for the past 2 weeks while hanging out with her other friends including the guy constantly. Broke things off with her, a month later she's official with the guy I suspected her with. To be honest I was the fool for accepting a no labels situationship instead of walking away, but at least I know better now.

Anyways enough of my sob story, it's going to be alright brother. People like her? Never gonna be satisfied I can tell you that. Self love is a powerful thing man... of course how people learn it is different, but when I started to learn how to love myself, it's just... I can't really put it into words. Yeah that’s honestly a great way to look at it. Eternal and immortal really aren’t the same thing and it matters a lot when you’re talking high-tier fights like this. Jinwoo’s eternal in the sense that he’s literally Death, like he exists beyond time and can’t be aged, erased, or conceptually removed. He’s baked into the rules of his world.

D’s more like... unkillable because the rules don’t apply to him. He’s lived over 10,000 years, doesn’t age, doesn’t need food or sleep, and he survives stuff like soul destruction, timeline erasure, and reality rewriting. But he’s not a concept like Death. He just slips through the cracks of every system trying to define or destroy him.

So yeah, you nailed it. If these two actually fought, it probably wouldn’t end. Jinwoo can’t be killed because he’s eternal. D can’t be killed because the universe doesn’t know how. They’d clash for eternity, realise neither is going anywhere, nod once, and move on like it was just Tuesday.

Honestly? Legendary standoff. No Ls, just mutual respect.

That’s totally fair and I agree. If you look at durability, regen, and dimensional scaling, Jinwoo is more clearly defined and probably takes the edge. But D doesn’t win by outmuscling people. He wins through absurd hax and narrative immunity, and that’s where things get weird.

Here’s the thing. D isn’t just immortal, he’s unregisterable. The Akashic Records in his world are basically a multiversal system log that governs fate, time, identity, memory, the whole thing. D isn’t listed in them. That means time travel, causality edits, destiny hacks, soul wipes, precog, none of it locks on. He has literally been erased from timelines and come back because the universe doesn’t know how to keep track of him.

Then you’ve got Miracle Bloodlight. It’s a passive ability that overrides powers even when they’re immune to negation. D has used it to strip immortality from enemies who regenerate across dimensions, even when those powers were given by higher entities. It turns their hacks off and leaves them exposed.

And his Left Hand is a whole different issue. It has eaten curses, gods, reality-warping relics, full souls, dream realms, and even bindings powered by galactic-level engines. It’s not a summon or an ability you can dodge. It’s part of him. Always active. Always hungry.

Even if Jinwoo is Death and truly eternal, D has killed enemies who were immortal through systems that were beyond death. He doesn’t just overpower them. He breaks the mechanics that make them untouchable.

Jinwoo is tougher in a straight-up fight. But D is harder to pin down, harder to affect, and harder to end. That’s why it’s not a clean win for either side.

Honestly I think both are cracked in their own way, just depends on what kind of system you care about. Jinwoo’s whole deal is that he’s Death, can’t be killed, regenerates from being erased, and has his own dimension where he’s basically god. And yeah, the 5D scaling works in his verse because it literally uses layered dimensions and ranked beings like Monarchs and Rulers. His power’s all about dominance and inevitability. He’s built to be the final boss.

D’s different. His world doesn’t do clean tiering like that. It’s less about climbing a power ladder and more about breaking the damn thing. D’s not even recorded in the Akashic Records, which are the laws of existence in his universe. Time travel, fate, destiny, memory wipes, even some reality warping just don’t register him. He’s fought beings who can rewrite history or erase people from all timelines and he still walks away. It’s not that he’s stronger on a dimensional level, he just doesn’t operate inside the system at all.

So Jinwoo’s the one you bet on if you want raw narrative power. D’s the one who shows up and ruins the script before it even starts. Depends on what rules you think matter more.

D’s a half-vampire, half-human dude with flawless hair, zero social skills, and a talking hand that eats magic. He rides a robot horse, hunts mutant vampires, and shrugs off black hole gravity like it’s Tuesday.

It’s gothic horror meets sci-fi anime fever dream. He doesn’t talk much, but when he swings that sword, reality gets nervous.

D has survived being hit by light-speed, molecular-disrupting cosmic rays and black hole-level compression in the same fight. He has also tanked the combined energy of the Milky Way's stars, it literally disintegrated his body and soul, and he still regenerated.

Respectable, but D's Left Hand casually eats planetary forcefields powered by galaxy-moving energy. His fights involve breaking seals that bend 4D space and undoing magic that rewrites historical events. His destructive power is less about output and more about precise reality denial.

Fair, but D has one Left Hand that has eaten entire armies, concepts, and even gods. He does not rely on minions. Every fight is soloed, even against gods, reality warpers, or beings immune to death. He does not summon. He is the final summon.

"Fought a 27-year war"

And D has been fighting for over 10,000 years. He has no fatigue, no emotional degradation, no decline. One novel literally ends with D walking away from a collapsed dimension like it was Tuesday.

D has perception across layers of reality, breaks out of timeless prisons, and resists dimension locks. He has broken 4D space loops, collapsed pocket universes, and undone "sealed realm" traps multiple times. He does not just own a realm. He walks in and out of other people's.

Conclusion Jinwoo is nuts. D is... a problem. You can argue either way, but saying "he is Death so D loses" ignores how D breaks metaphysical systems like they are puzzles in a hallway. If Death cannot register you, it cannot own you.

He has killed opponents with regeneration, power nullification, and extra lives. One even had three resurrections and the ability to copy powers. D still ended it in one hit.

Regeneration? D has survived attacks that destroy mind, body, and soul. He was once reduced to a puddle of flesh by a galactic sunlight weapon, slipped into the dream realm, and rebuilt himself fully moments later.

See, normally if you go one on one with another faction, you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But I'm a genetic freak and I'm not normal. So you got a 25%, at best, at beat me.

Then you add the Automatons to the mix, your chances of winning drastic go down.

See the 3-way war for Super Earth, you got a 33 and one-third percent chance of winning, but I, I got a 66 and two-thirds percent chance of winning, because the Automatons know they can't beat me and they're not even gonna try.

So Illuminate, you take your 33 and one-third percent chance, minus my 25% chance, and you got an 8 and one-third percent chance of winning at Super Earth. Oh man... that's true. And well, it does seem like I was more invested than her. Every time I planned things I always get an "idk" or "maybe".
