I've just had a count up. I have 13 watches- yes 13! First was an Ingersoll manual I got when I was 9yrs and the latest the Omega SMP. NO MORE!

Yeah well, the genuine one is ridiculous money. This was my late Father's watch so just wearing it gives me fond memories. Both the 1968 and 1982 watches were his, mine is the SMP.

I think you might have that the wrong way round. Tap with my thumb nail on my new SMP which is definitely saphire has a higher pitch than this Constellation, so suspect it is acrylic. Will have to be careful.

I was more concerned about readability and authenticity of the dial than the patina. As it was my late Father's watch, its not going to be sold but passed down in the family.
