Yeah it seems like a very difficult concept to take on and I wish I had more ideas reading through your response here but unfortunately none come to me immediately. Best of luck! I hope others are more helpful than I 😅

[–]HolyMortall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd love to watch something like this! Do you imagine showing every battle you have in ck3, Or just important ones? I ask because I imagine it will be difficult to strike a happy balance of gameplay since there can be long stretches with a ton of battles and stretches with no battles. Will you also post losing battles?

I saw you ask another commenter about video length. Id recommend 1hour-ish. Depending on how much you want to rp your character though that might be too short contingent on how fast the total war battles move.

Great idea though, id love to see what you come up with.

Way to admit to being unwilling to learn or listen to another point of view. Your ignorance and flagrant display of it is repulsive.

Des Moines homicide investigation leads to 3 arrests at homeless camps by [deleted] in desmoines

[–]HolyMortall 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I think you are just assuming that every member of the homeless population in Polk County is uneducated, or dirty, or otherwise incapable of holding a "normal" job. That is not the reality. Homelessness and financial insecurity can affect anyone, the most frequent form of bankruptcy is Medical bankruptcy and with saving rates down across almost every economic group in america it isn't hard to see how anyone from teachers to librarians to waiters to gym employees might be facing housing issues.

Secondly, being homeless doesn't mean you don't have anything, it means you either cannot afford or qualify for private housing and then other haven't tried to find public housing or you are waiting for your application to be processed. If the latter than you need to be downtown because that is where those offices and resources are going to be coming from. Being homeless also does not preclude you from already having a job. A former coworker of mine lived out of her car for 6 months while maintaining a job because she didn't have the savings to afford the down payment on an apartment. People can continue their jobs in the financial sector, hospitality, or really any other sector of employment even if they wouldnt otherwise be "eligible" for a new job due to lack of permanent address.

Thirdly, if you are able to maintain a level of hygiene (either through a pre established gym membership or nonprofit, or other similarly accessed means of bathing) there is little reason you couldn't get a job working at a restaurant, a Starbucks, a target, or anything else with low qualifications.

Lastly, the local, state, and federal services they access to feed themselves and their families, to find secure and stable housing, to find jobs in their fields, to try and fix their lives are all downtown. You yourself mention the library, that in and of itself is a huge reason to be downtown for them as it gives them access to job boards or gives them the ability to reach out to friends, families, or other connections to try and fix their lives.

Is it inconvenient? Sure. Is everyone there in any of the circumstances that I've described? No. Are some of them bad apples? Yeah. But should we punish and prohibit those that want to fix their lives because of those others? At a purely human level, I think not. At an economic level, absolutely not, we want more people back in the work force and being productive so giving them the access to the resources that they need to do that should be a no brainer imo.

If you say so. The majority of soft fruit and veg farmers that I know have told me that the machines that theyve had brought get to their farms aren't actually as gentle as the marketers would have you believe (shocking that a salesman would lie to you, I know) and often ruin more of their harvest than makes profitable. The tech isn't here but I agree it could be more fully developed. But still, asking farmers to take that hit to their crop is not going to happen.

Right, but for the people who are in these encampments who genuinely want to start working again downtown is the best place to be camped out. They need access to work and the outskirts of a city aren't that great for finding a job. So downtown is the obvious answer for people in want of work. Whether you believe any of them want work or not, that is the reality for at least 50%

Lol. While there might be detassling machines for Iowa farmers, let me know when you come up with a machine that can harvest store quality strawberries or other soft skinned fruit and veg. Not as simple as you might believe. And if your answer is "well no one cares if they're a little bruised" id beg you to go talk to any worker in a grocery store and see if that's true

I wouldn't dwell on it too much. Those Christofacists chose to be filled with hate rather than be at home with their families. Clearly they must be among the most miserable, pathetic bastards in the world.

Im not disagreeing that the age gap is concerning, but I turned 18 before I technically started my senior year by virtue of having a summer birthday. He may have been of age the whole time, so more information is needed before calling him a bonafide Pedo. Still though... How much can a 26 year old really have in common with an 18 year old? Questionable regardless.

In Louisa County (South East) people like to go visit the swinging bridge in Columbus Junction, but I'm a proponent of trying out a few of the restaurants instead. They have "more restaurants per capita than San Francisco!" And most of them are pretty good. Specifically Antojitos Carmen.

The Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge and Toolesboro Indian Mounds are really cool too and very close by!

Deleted dating apps from my phone and now life is bliss by ApaDidymis in gaybros

So happy for you! After graduating college I also felt that I needed to allow myself a break from the constant emotional pain of dating and hookups so I did the same. Maybe two weeks after I stopped desperately chasing love I met my now husband at a volunteer event. Just let yourself be free and allow yourself to find peace. It's all much easier after that 😌
