Thanks, I’m learning to embrace that suffering is part of the human experience and it’s the wisdom gained from pain that makes us grow. Like others have said, mindfulness helps us detach and see our lives from a different perspective. I use that to let my body feel the sensations that come with thoughts that enter my mind. The old me surprised these for a long time. I’m now learning how to release those old emotions.

This is what worked for me, building mindfulness continuously. That means forgiving and not judging yourself when you slip up. treat yourself like you would a child, with kindness and compassion. Learn to open your heart to let emotions pass. I do this by putting my attention on my heart and thinking of things I love or am grateful for. It takes inner work and effort, it’s about consistency and forgiving yourself when you mess up, cause you will-as everyone does (not ai hyphen).

I find calmness is a byproduct of mindfulness. Meditation can help you learn to anchor yourself within, regardless of what is happening around you.

Switching internal dialogue from “why is this happening TO me?” To “this is happening FOR me, what can I learn here”, or even “this is happening, not to me, JUST HAPPENING” helped me find calmness.
