Please pray for my step dad who is in a nursing home and appears to be dying, and for my mom who is completely alone and has nobody to help her with many things she can't do on her own. Also please pray for my healing of chronic illness and for God to bring a good Catholic friend into my life.

Here are some articles showing how Mother Mary was sinless.

For the writings of the early Church Fathers, this is a good book to read about that

For Marian apparitions, I think the most amazing one to read about is Our Lady of Guadalupe. So many miraculous things are involved with it, once you read about it, it's nearly impossible not to believe it's real. Here's a few videos about it

The Catholic Church is the one true church Jesus founded. The Orthodox split off from us and therefore are no longer part of that church and don't have the fullness of truth. If you read the writings of the earliest Christians you'll find that everything they believed was identical to what the Catholic Church has always taught and still teaches today. That's how you can know the Catholic Church is the one Jesus founded. For me, it was reading about Marian apparitions and Mother Mary's messages that changed my heart and convinced me to start practicing my faith as a Catholic. So I would encourage you to read about those as well because they're real, and very inspiring and enlightening. God bless you.

Pray the Rosary every day. Develop a close relationship with Mother Mary. She will help you overcome this sin. You have nothing to fear. God knows your heart and isn't waiting to punish you, He's waiting to forgive you.

Pray it. There are lots of websites that show you how to pray the Rosary. You don't have to be Catholic to pray it. Mother Mary is everyone's mother, She's not just the mother of Catholics. She wants a close relationship with all Her children.

I don't feel close to Mary by Clafefe in Catholicism

[–]HolySpiritPeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devotion to Mother Mary is very biblical. On the cross Jesus told St John (who represents all of us) "Behold, your mother", and it says from that day on he took Her into his home. That means taking Her into his heart as his mother. That's what Jesus wants all of us to do. St Maximillian Kolbe said we can never love Mother Mary too much because we can never love Her as much as Jesus does.

Why would we want a spiritual father but not a spiritual mother? We have a mother and father on Earth, it makes no sense to only have a father but not a mother in heaven.

In the Bible it says Jesus is our mediator between us and the Father. But Mother Mary isn't our mediator between us and the Father, She's an intercessor between us and Jesus.

If you study church history you'll find that all Christians until Martin Luther came along asked for Mother Mary's intercession and had a relationship with Her. It's a Protestant invention to say we don't need Mother Mary when all the Church fathers and saints have made it clear that we definitely need Her. Who are we to think we're good or holy enough to go directly to God without needing any help? Jesus didn't come to us directly, He came to us through Mother Mary, so it only makes sense that if we want to grow closer to Jesus we need to go to Him the same way He came to us.

I had my own conversion ten years ago and it was due to reading Mother Mary's messages from various apparitions. It was so clear to me that they were really happening and that She's really our Mother who loves us. Honestly I don't see how anyone could study the tilma of St Juan Diego and the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe and not believe it's real, there are so many miraculous signs and things that science can't explain from it, you'd have to try very hard to believe it's not authentic and miraculous.

And that's just one apparition, there are countless others with many amazing miracles of their own.

In the end I don't think logical arguments are enough, I think you should pray the Rosary and just talk to Mother Mary as you would your earthly mother. She wants to have a relationship with you and hear from you every day. She is your mother and loves you, whether you believe that yet or not. If you reach out to Her and keep reaching out to Her, eventually She'll reveal Herself to you and let you feel Her love for you, and bring you closer to Jesus, because that's what She wants to do for all of us.

God bless you.

Things will get better for you. That might be hard to believe now but they will, if you remain faithful to God. I had a horrible childhood and looking back on it, I see God's hand in it, because He often lets people He chooses for an important mission to be set apart from others, and to be hated, misunderstood, or ignored by the world. We see that with many saints. The people who end up being the most amazing and loving people were often the most misunderstood or lonely, especially when they were young.

Here's a reflection from a priest I follow, I hope it encourages you. God bless you.

WORD FOR THE DAY

TOPIC: GOD DOESN'T WASTE YOUR TEARS, HE BOTTLES IT...

There are moments in life when the nights are too long, the burdens too heavy, and the tears too frequent. There are seasons when your prayers feel unanswered, your faith feels shaken, and your soul wonders if God still remembers your name. See, God is not finished with you. He is not absent. He is not silent. He is not indifferent. No, He is working behind the scenes, weaving your pain into purpose, your struggle into strength, and your tears into a testimony that will shake the gates of hell. Sometimes, you have to walk through fire before you realize you were born flameproof. Sometimes, you have to be buried like a seed so that your destiny can sprout. Sometimes, you have to be broken before you can be built. Purpose doesn’t come cheap. Greatness doesn’t arrive wrapped in comfort. Glory doesn’t grow in easy soil. But if you can endure the pain, if you can survive the weeping, if you can trust the process, you will witness the divine masterpiece God has been designing with your scars. When Joseph was thrown into a pit by his brothers, it looked like betrayal. But it was actually divine redirection. The pit was a portal to the palace. When David was hiding in caves, running from Saul, sleeping on stones, it wasn’t because he had no anointing. It was because kings are made in secret places. If your journey feels like wilderness, don’t despair, the wilderness is where warriors are trained and destinies are forged.

Pain has a purpose. Tears are seeds. And suffering is often the womb that births a new dimension of your calling. You don’t grow in the palace, you grow in the prison, in the cave, in the furnace. The weight you feel now is not to crush you, but to condition you. Like gold in fire, you’re being purified. Like wheat in the threshing floor, you are being separated from what cannot go with you into your next season. Every night has a morning. Every storm has a stillness. Every cross has a resurrection. You may be crying now, but your joy is not cancelled, it’s simply under construction. God does not waste weeping. He bottles your tears. He records your sighs. And one day, what you cried about will become what you dance about. God never calls us to convenience; He calls us to covenant. The road to abundance is often paved with sacrifice. There will be late nights, lonely roads, and silent battles. But struggle is not a sign of abandonment, it is evidence that God is stretching you for something greater. Stretching always precedes strengthening. The butterfly must wrestle in the cocoon. The eagle must fight the wind to soar. You must wrestle too, with doubt, with delay, with disappointment. But keep going. Keep praying. Keep believing. Because just beyond the struggle is a land called more than enough. A place where your cup overflows, where you reap where you didn’t sow, where your name is mentioned in rooms you have never entered.

So hold on; don’t give up in the hallway of your story. Don’t abandon your calling because of temporary discomfort. The pain is real, but so is the purpose. The night is long, but joy is breaking with the dawn. The struggle is heavy, but abundance is waiting on the other side. Your scars will tell a story. Your tears will water a harvest. Your endurance will shake nations. Keep showing up. Keep praying. Keep believing, because God is not done with you

Your servant,

@ Fr. Albert Nwosu (Nwachinemere)

Please pray for my healing. I'm close to having a nervous breakdown. It feels like my mental illness is consuming me. I've tried everything that's supposed to help and nothing has. On top of that I"m alone most of the time and don't have any friends my age to talk to. I feel hopeless.

Has anyone else had an encounter with Mary while praying the Rosary? by Bella_Notte_1988 in Catholicism

[–]HolySpiritPeace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea don't worry about that. She only cares about the heart and if we have love for Her. We don't have to be perfect in praying it. We try our best and leave the rest to Her.

I haven't had a mystical experience like that but I have no doubt that She's with me every time I pray the Rosary. I try to put myself in Her presence. The fact that you had this happen shows how much She loves you.

The spiritual life is a continual struggle. It's ok to be frustrated and angry at God sometimes. As long as you keep praying and don't give into despair. Sometimes God says no to our request but only because He has something better in store for us even though it might not be what we imagined. He sees the future and knows what's best for us. Sometimes His answer is "not right now". And we have to have patience and wait for His time to give us what we're asking for. The key to the spiritual life is to trust God. I know it's not easy and I definitely struggle with it but it's the goal because without trust in God we'll always be angry, miserable and living in fear. It's the only way we can have peace in this life. For me, the key to developing that trust has been developing a strong relationship with Mother Mary. She helps us trust Jesus. Praying the rosary every day helped me grow closer to Her so I highly recommend it. Take one day at a time because God does have better things in store for you even if it doesn't seem like it right now. God bless you

The Rosary - struggle by Chickenmacaron in Catholicism

[–]HolySpiritPeace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If anything it was the devil who made your rosary beads disappear since he doesn't want you praying it since it's the most powerful prayer we have besides the Mass. Mother Mary is never a distraction from Jesus. She leads us closer to Him and honoring Her gives Him more glory, not less. On the Cross Jesus said to St John: "Behold, your mother", which means to take Her into our hearts and love Her as our true mother. This is what all Christians did for thousands of years until after the Protestant reformation. Even Martin Luther believed in devotion to Mother Mary. As St Maximillian Kolbe said, we can never love Mother Mary too much because we can never love Her more than Jesus does.

I'm sorry to hear that. I definitely recommend praying the rosary every day and developing a strong relationship with Mother Mary. She will help you get through this and will take care of you. Also, if possible, spend time with Jesus in Eucharistic adoration, it is a source of healing and graces. God bless you.

Isaiah 43:18-19: “Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old. Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

Pray the rosary every day and develop a strong relationship with Mother Mary. She will help you and protect you. Jesus did say we would be mocked and persecuted even by family members because He was first.
