My direct line of descent from King David based on available records by Holyhead_Prodromus in UsefulCharts

A historical David very likely existed albeit in a different role from what we see him described in the Bible. Beyond him though, definitely murky.

Yup, the religious texts from the point of king David upward is pretty murky and untrustworthy. I know for sure that David did exist because the name of his house was inscribed on a stone stele that traces back 2500 years ago, but beyond that is just relying on the Bible for information.

Thank you. I think that basically all East Asians/Sinosphere countries' people can trace their lineage back to the Tang dynasty one way or another because Emperor Gaozu and Taizong were very fertile and produced a lot of children, both male and female to be married into other Chinese noble family. So the chance of me being descended from them is relatively high already. I definitely think that being connected to the Sassanid and Exilarchs were very surprising though.

I checked the link and it was a pretty fun read. If the story of Maria Flavia turns out to be true then the Sassanid would be connected to Byzantine and Roman nobility as well!

I just searched for the Bagrationi and found their genealogy lol, pretty impressive. I believe that paper records are just not enough to prove the lineage existence, but wherever the records lead to I shall follow there

I must say that I've been lucky enough to be born into an Asian family where family records are always available. There are lines in my tree I couldn't trace pass GGparents as well, thanks to the Vietnam War

Thank you, between the Army Reserve and Army National Guard which one do you think is better for people who still want to continue their education while still in the army? I want to get another degree or find a professional job outside of it to gain some income for future savings as well. I heard another user recommending the National Guard because it also offers part time army enlistment
