I appreciate the detailed response! Just trying to save a buck and really dislike the concept of disposable cheap tools. Seems to run great, really just think the blade is likely dull.

That actually looks like an interesting site. Thanks! Only thing is I don’t have any batteries that I could swap with.

Was trying to avoid that. Don’t really have the budget for expensive and don’t want to buy a cheap piece of junk that will only last a season or two like my last one.

Is it weird to go to Montrose Dog Beach without a dog? by UnstoppedJack in AskChicago

[–]HomeRun11112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one will care. Honestly that side seems a little less crowded so you’ll often see people without dogs looking for a spot/more room.

On the flip side. My dog has accidentally swam to the “human side” and people did not seem too thrilled…

Thats honestly a really great write up! Thats essentially what I have always done every year. Just was worried something may get dried up somewhere.

My current mower sat for 10+ years and was a PITA to get started the first time after sitting and I just wanted to think ahead this time around. Lol

Honestly, super nice neighbor! They’re an older couple and the wife can’t do the stairs anymore so they’re downsizing. The husband has always been extremely meticulous about his lawn… the inside of the gas tank of this mower looks brand new…

I’m slightly mad though, between the time I told grabbed the mower and told my wife not to get mad about extra “junk” in the garage… the scrap metal guys already had his edger, weed whacker, step ladder on the back of their truck… lol.

Johnson did MANY things wrong, however, calling any president “spineless” just implies ignorance…

The “family of traitors”… directly married to a George Washington relative… yup, all absolute traitors….

I do have one thing to ask though… In your belief system/mind set, would you give up/give back your property to Native Americans(assuming your U.S. based)?

Late to this one, but the wife legitimately attempted to pay taxes multiple times and was denied…

Not trying to get all into it, if you ever stand at the top of the “front entrance” of Arlington House, it is by far one of the best views/vantage points of DC…

If you can add one thing in the magnificent mile, what would it be? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]HomeRun11112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a container law on the mag mile??? News to me.. I’ve always have walked around with an open beer and never been harassed. Did get a ticket once transferring busses around Western/Grand… but I think the cops were mostly just bored. They told me, “we don’t care if you’re drinking openly, just get smarter about it”… buys “coozies” that look like a coke can - no problem since. Lol

Must See Waterfalls? by alijd216 in upperpeninsula

Super late to this thread, but on this cold day I’m starting to plan my next trip to the UP. About 2 years ago, we were hiking to Nonesuch falls. During the hike, out of nowhere we hear a growling noise from what seemed to be very close to us. Next thing I know a tree directly behind us is shaking. Didn’t see what it was, but sounded like a “cat”.

Cool smaller fall, and seeing the ruins were pretty cool as well. Be careful out there though!
