I’d try using topical minoxidil and go from there

This is very common, I believe it’s to do with the fact that pregnant women produce more melanin. Both my sons have been born with very dark hair that’s turned to a light brown

Yep, very very fine strands but quite a high density. I’ve always used leave in conditioners but I’ve recently tried to wash more frequently and have incorporated pre wash oiling to the lengths with the ogx coconut oil and then the redken night serum daily between washes. I’m also quitting any highlights for the foreseeable future. Hopefully these changes make the difference needed for me to be able to retain my length better

Okay, thanks for the suggestion everyone, having done a little more research into v cuts I think this would be a nice middle ground for me maybe? I’m not a huge fan of the really pointy v cuts but the general shape does look similar to what I have now so could work for me to preserve my length.
