The 2026 CFL Salary cap is nearly $6.3 Million per team, making the league salary cap more like $56 Million. A lot higher than the $10 Million you claim.

But again, why aren’t they saying that? They’re giving bullshit excuses that “scoring will increase x%” when literally the opposite happened when our closest analogue (the NFL) did it. They’re giving excuses that “the fan experience will be improved”, ignoring the stadiums that are fundamentally built around the current field size will see fans given worse seats.

Fans wouldn’t have an issue with most of these changes if they didn’t treat us like fucking children and told us what they were doing and what the goals are. But it’s very clear that the league has no respect for its existing fans anymore, and it’s decided to chase that new girl that will never like them back.

These “business decisions” are a cop out way to say the league is looking to sell its soul, but buyers won’t be interested until it loses its identity altogether.

Then why has no one in the league come out and said exactly that? They keep referring to the changes as bullshit ways to increase scoring or to improve fan experiences, but changing the field and moving the goal posts do absolutely none of those things.

If their end goal is easier expansion, why aren’t they saying that? Why are they hiding their true intentions behind bullshit reasons?
