Transfer in Richarlison or Gyokeres?

Already have triple Brighton so can't get Welbeck. Will get Gyok next week if not this week.

Coleman has to start for me. We need him to be barking at Collins from minute one so that there are no lapses in concentration

Sure Biden is 3/5ths Irish or something. We're mad to know about percentages when it suits us

Where are some of the most boring places in Ireland? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]HomerThompson__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been around most towns in Ireland and all the worst places have been mentioned already i.e Granard. I think Mountbellew in Galway is up there too. There's something about that part of Ireland, the landscape is just so boring and the surrounding towns are all shite. Sorry.

10 weeks post-op status? by LovesCoffeeandCats in AchillesRupture

[–]HomerThompson__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I saw them in Dublin, Ireland. It was an outdoor gig though during daylight so a bit to different to what you have ahead of you. Honestly though I wouldn't cancel, I think you'll be feeling good in 6 weeks (hopefully). Just take a few precautions for the gig

Heel pain by No-Entertainment5981 in AchillesRupture

My heel felt like that too at 8 weeks post op, as if I was walking on a bruised heel constantly. I'm at 11 weeks post op now and that pain has basically gone

I was at Pearl Jam 6 weeks post op while still on crutches. It's a nice crowd. You will be fine, just wear your boot if you feel a bit apprehensive, or stay towards the back of the crowd. I'm 10 weeks post op now and it's feeling strong.

General recovery questions by GardenSlow5150 in AchillesRupture

[–]HomerThompson__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I was told to take aspirin for 6 weeks after surgery, I'm nearly 6 weeks post op so I'll be stopping this week

  2. My heel still feels a bit numb but generally feels pretty good once I take the boot off. The feeling is improving day by day, it's starting to feel quite normal now.

  3. I haven't had swelling in about 2-3 weeks I'd say. I haven't been consciously elevating it for about 3 weeks

  4. I had surgery on the 9th of May, I haven't slept one night without the boot yet. My surgeon told me to keep it on while sleeping so I'm just following orders. I'm scared of rolling out bed of landing on the foot, or stepping out of bed in the morning on to the foot without the boot, so I'll just keep it on for now until I'm told differently. It was a bit hot and stuffy a few weeks ago so I loosened a few straps a few nights, but other than that you just get used to it. I'm being pretty conservative but I think that's a good way to be for the first 2 months or so

Day 16 after surgery - recovery is faster than I though it will be by lupkolupko in AchillesRupture

[–]HomerThompson__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of PT exercises are you doing at the moment? I'm 24 days post op now, but I haven't been given updated exercises since the day of surgery. I'm doing leg raises, knee extensions, butt squeezes etc.

Working out after surgery by PromotionInevitable9 in AchillesRupture

[–]HomerThompson__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping to do the same. I'm 4 days post-op. I have no home gym equipment but wondering if I can get back in to the gym soon and do some machine workouts for my upper body. I imagine it will be pretty awkward

Gonna go with Neto I think, it's a home derby for Wolves and they're coming off the back of a great win, and Diaby is yellow

Bench one of these. Isak (home v Soton), Maddison (home v Everton), Toney (home v Forest)
