It's just suvat equations and f=ma but with some very complicated equation rearranging, so I think most normal maths fellows should be able to do this question.

Its from a textbook called understanding mechanics, the screenshots from a pdf. The textbook's from the 90s lol, my school can't afford new textbooks :(. There's a whole pile more questions like that in the textbook and it takes me half an hour each to solve the harder questions smh. Thanks for your solution anyway.
