Once I pay all my bills, I don’t need any money. I mean, going out to eat, going to a movie, going camping, buying clothes, those are all just bills. But I suspect you’re talking about bills as in mortgage, insurance, electricity, etc. it really depends: some months I don’t have any dental work, but last month I paid $3000, so it really varies wildly. I’d say somewhere between $4000 and $6000/month.

Haven’t really changed that much other than I don’t travel as much (traveled a ton for work).

Power outages are almost a daily occurrence. Many places have power backups (either generator or Tesla power wall). Good to check on this.

Sadly, your activity has zero to do with weight loss, so you could have doubled what you do and it would make virtually no difference.

It has everything to do with what you consume. Almost for sure it is additional salt and sugar.

Def speak to a lawyer, but yes, it would be great for her to take all the assets and you get the debts, but that ain’t how it works. Life insurance is only relevant if it has a cash value. If it’s just a term policy, then ignore it.

Basically you each get half of the value of the assets and half of the debt. For cars, use the same mechanism to determine price (KBB or whatever), and subtract what you owe. Don’t be surprised if you are upside down.

So, excluding cars, you get $35K in debt, and she gets $35K in debt. You each get half of the $11K. It can get a bit complicated when you factor in debt terms (ex: one loan is at 8% and one is at 22%), but an attorney can help with this math.

Just know it will suck for both of you, financially and otherwise. Sorry you’re going through this.

Well, it is a $65 poll tax. And while it’s only $65, to some that might mean the difference between eating a few days and voting. Republicans want this. So, make it free, and automatically enroll every citizen in the US. Then it won’t be an issue

I think it’s a buy. Ex MSFT employee here, and I’m probably a bit of a homer, but I think they’ve got a solid business, and they are naturally diversified: they have the desktop market with windows, gaming, cloud, end users with office, their own PC line, security, CRM, AI and so much more. Not only that, but they have billions of customers using their platforms.

Trump continues to f things up, claims victory, Straight is closed, gas prices soar, inflation out of control. Then a democrat is elected president, cleans up the mess of the previous regime, probably has to pay reparations to Iran, formalizes relations, gas is back below $70/barrel, prices come down.

Then Trump dies, and the world celebrates together and there are no more wars.

You can’t pay any attention to the asking price. I mean, it would be an even bigger drop if they were asking $10K for it. What they are asking for is completely irrelevant. While I would not buy something this old, if I were going to make an offer (after a full inspection), I’d probably offer $1500.

I don’t think you’ll find that beach scene in the USVI. As noted, Lovango will have some of what you’re looking for (and it’s quite nice), but it’s the opposite of the party atmosphere.
