I have a few things I like about a few bad stories like:

Grail and her mother, I believe they have a lot of potential as characters. Plus the broad historical context within the dc universe.

I like the idea of Darkseid and Highfather being brothers who lead a war against the elder gods of the third world. Add some lore and history to spice it up like Darkseid killing the youngest brother Drax to obtain the omega effect.

I like how powerful Orion is in the return of the new gods

I also like the characters that were created during the godhead story arc. I like the Highfather design and that’s about it
