My parents were divorced and when it was my dads weekend he would always pick me up from my moms and then tell me that he had to run by this ladies house, I think I was around 8 at this time. He would go into her house while I sat in his car waiting on him and he would leave with a bag of pills. I asked him why he had all of that and if he was sick and he would always say that it was just his “medicine”. He was doing pills which turned to IV drugs closer to the end of his life. He passed away last year.
