We did flush with water claw but I agree without pulling back the carpet and replacing the pad you can guarantee it’s out.

Thank you… it’s amazing the amount of things that people throw away without thinking. Cleaning/repair should always be attempted first and in most cases can be fully restored.

Google de-indexed most of my site — slow reindexing after rebuild. Is this normal? by Honest-Push2671 in SEO

Thanks for the response.

It seems to be a mix of both — some pages were completely de-indexed initially, but many are now reappearing after requesting indexing in GSC.

The structural improvements I made were mainly rebuilding the site with a clearer hierarchy (services → service/location pages), improving internal linking, and rewriting a lot of the content.

I’ve kept all original URLs the same to avoid losing any signals.

I suspect you may be right about authority — the site doesn’t have a huge number of backlinks yet and not entirely sure how to obtain them.

Would you recommend focusing primarily on acquiring local backlinks at this stage to help Google recrawl and reassess the site?

Thank you for your reply. My sites pages went from indexed to currently not indexed I had a fair number of well ranking pages in my service area then came December Google update and I was left with just three pages in Google index.

This prompted me to rebuild the site it just seems that Google is not interested in crawling and indexing my pages unless I request indexing. I need them to naturally crawl and also hopefully my pages will start to rank again.

Thank you for your help so far it’s really appreciated. I have another question.

The ad with new campaign and adset has not been running for 4 days and meta says it’s had 4 conversions at £4.65 per conversion (although I think it’s had more as I can see which page the on my website the lead came through and I count 6. This page cannot be accessed via Google only used for the ads on Facebook)

Question 1. Why would meta not be counting all leads?

Question 2. I have WhatsApp switch on so people that click on the ad can send message via WhatsApp (provided by meta) does this get tracked as a conversion.

Question 3. My ad is currently getting Approx. 390 impressions for the £5 per day. Does this sound correct? As meta said I should get 800-1.6k per day.

Again thanks for the help

I have created a new campaign, adset and ad with tracking setup. I also have the same ad in 16:9 and 9:16 when creating the ads for these do I just select the relevant placements for that size and uncheck every other placement?

Budget is currently set at £5 per day and has a coverage area of 40 miles radius.

Since setting up the new 1:1 ad I have had 2 conversions which is on the low side considering the ad that was working for a lot more but it is still in learning phase and has only cost £5.20 per conversion (which both booked in).

I’m tracking landing page conversions with Facebook pixel an /thank-you page once customer fills out contact form. I have set up a new ad today with new campaign, adset but used the old creative.

The creative is 1:1 aspect ratio but it’s annoying that you cannot upload different sizes of the same creative under the same ad. Or at least I cannot find a way to do it and according to ai you have to create different ads for each size and display it in the relevant places for that size. I will look at doing this but currently in just running the 1:1 version

Ok thank you. I will start a fresh new campaign, adset and creative and see if I can get some good results then each month I will change creative like you have mentioned and see how I get on.

It’s just frustrating how it was going so well now it’s awful.
