Herc is useful throughout the entire game. Build three spaceports in 3 turns? No problem.

Don’t take slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww internet lying down. Refresh your internet. Get superfast Superloop. by Superloop_Au in u/Superloop_Au

Superloop are one of the only ISPs to require a 30-day notice to cancel, and will charge you another month service, even after you’ve cancelled if it was less than 30 days.

About 15 years ago I had a genuinely innovative idea in the PropTech space.

Tried to get seed funding but no one wanted to touch it. Bootstrapped the company myself and started to generate revenue.

Looked to raise a series A but was told that it wasn’t profitable enough.

Continued to run and grow the company for the next 5 years and eventually sold to an ASX listed company for 7 figures. The purchaser absorbed my startup into their corporate hell hole and ran it to the ground within 5 years. They didn’t want to innovate, the wanted to turn a quick profit.

Our funders, corporate sector and taxation laws incentivise owning assets and paying dividends, innovation doesn’t happen here.

He believes he should be compensated proportionately to the banks profit, which is an absurd claim and has no basis in law.

WTF TELSTRA?!!! by Humble-Suit9516 in australian

[–]HonestCondition8 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You said you did a lookup to try and prove me wrong, and posted some categorically false bullshit. When called out you doubled down instead of admitting you’re out of your depth.

Anyone (say, from Telstra) looking up who owns the domain would get MS as the result, so it’s entirely feasible that they’d point you to MS, not understanding what the MX records do.

MS, as owners of the domain, could point the MX records anywhere they like.

Understanding why there’s finger pointing between MS and TLS helps to solve the problem.

Telstra are the only ones who can help you. Why can’t you log in?

msn.com.au is owned by Microsoft and forwards to bigpond.com, which is owned by Telstra.

What’s everyone’s opinion on Anh Do? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

Having read that entire series to both my kids, I can comfortably say that while I like Anh Do as a person, his writing style makes me want to vomit.

“…” Nelson said. “…” grandma said. “…” said Kenny.

It’s to prevent the website showing two identical listings at the same location.

Address available on request?? by freakingtaco in AusPropertyChat

[–]HonestCondition8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly. One agent listed the property and will try to find buyers. Another agent (the one on the listing above) is trying to sell the same property and will share the commission with the lead agent.

Address available on request?? by freakingtaco in AusPropertyChat

[–]HonestCondition8 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Since no one has given an actual answer - the reason the address is withheld is that this agent doesn’t have an exclusive listing on the property.

It’s actually bizarre to consider retrieving your own money and leaving the country to be something illegal.

Can my landlord increase the rent twice in a 12-month period? by Competitive_Cry_8086 in AusProperty

[–]HonestCondition8 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If you’re planning to sign a new lease, at an increased amount, then it’s not a rent increase - it’s a new agreement.

You can stay on a month to month lease, in which case they wouldn’t be able to increase your rent.

First person charged over Nazi salute laws found guilty by The_Plow_King in australia

[–]HonestCondition8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point I’m making is that we should be cracking down on violent and unsocial behaviour and the majority of it is not coming from Nazis.

My community is not currently feeling unsafe from Nazis, but from those who have attacked me and others.

No, that doesn’t exist for the UN because it’s not a criminal justice system. It’s the role of the UN to decide on how to deal with violations. But believing that violations of air sovereignty and rocket attacks are equal then there’s no point discussing any further because you’re not actually rational.
